Dear Jozarov, i think it's interesting to mention that Stockfish and Leela were following a game between Topalow and Carlsen from 2008, up to move 17! In the game Topalow - Carlsen, Grand Slam Final Bilbao 2008, White played immediately 17.Bh6. So I think Stockfish really played a theoretical improvement in this blitz game by playing 17.f4!

Loved the great great coverage of a game where Stockfish was totally in control from start to finish. No need to apologise for all the variations you show as you go through the game-it’s fascinating to see why certain avenues were or were not taken! "Seer" did "see" a lot of the traps Stockfish laid for it and avoided them, earning some brownie points. You summarised this game perfectly with the phrase "never never," as Seer could never do anything about it. It was always on the defence, which is the Stockfish way! Hence your 100 moves of pain comment at the start. I have to push back on one thing you mentioned... Since when does Stockfish play along the lines of 'Principle Chess'? I truly believe it picked this line because it calculated it to be the best move forward. It 'agreeing' with principles, I feel, is a pure coincidence! (Unless this was part of the opening and prearranged moves by the organisers?)
