Natchaug Forest 3 Making Connections
Apple Maps, On X Offroad, and state trail maps. None of them really have the whole picture of Natchaug Forest in Eastford. But one of these dirt & gravel roads is the longest I've found in CT so far.

Within the forest, I found 3 cool spots to check out. Do you know who General Nathaniel Lyon was? I do now. Beaver Dam pond (or swamp) is a peaceful place too. And if you dare cross the Natchaug River using a closed bridge, you can find yourself some of the best scenery in the forest.

Thanks for giving us enough clues to figure out what roads you are on!
Thanks again for being more descriptive about where you are. A GPX file would be awesome! My Garmin car GPS generates those and I can download them afterwards.
It's nice when I can figure out where you are - I'm looking for dirt roads to explore with my little 4WD Japanese Kei truck :-)
Has anyone been successful doing this with the smaller desktop model, the: Line 6 POD HD Desktop the Blackbean?
@@jsmith1899 I’m pretty sure you could set the paths the same as the floor. The Desktop has a microphone in too.
I think you can remove the spark plug and see if the piston is up or down.
I'd love to have the GPX file for that! I have a 4wd Japanese minitruck and am looking for dirt roads in the Northeast CT/ Northwest RI / South central MA area :-) . If you ever want to ride together drop me an email through my CZcams Profile :-)
Hi Bryan Thanks for tuning in. I honestly didn’t think anyone watched my videos, except my kids who taught me CapCut and created my CZcams channel! I’ll send you a DM and maybe we can ride some trails this weekend.
Hey Pete .... I'm enjoying your videos! I'm from Vernon and I ride up in Union quite a bit on a CRF 300 Rally. The Mountain Laurel Sanctuary is a nice place to ride but there are a lot of dead end trails there. If you ever need a riding buddy let me know. We're about the same age and I've got three years riding experience. I've been on quite a few trails that were way above my riding level so I know when to turn around. Bryan
Can I use it to control 2 pedals simultaneously?
Should work if you use the midi out of one into midi in of another.
@@peteo8940 will it work if one is connected via TRS and the other one via BT?
Very clear setup explanation, thank you. 👍 I'm so glad that I discovered this MIDI Pedal , just recently. I wanted a pedal to control functions in DAW plugins, which it does fairly easily. Initially I bought a USB pedal but that only sends 'virtual QWERTY' and there are no QWERTY to MIDI message converter programs; at least that I could find. I'm an Android user and installing the CubeSuite app was a bit of a faff but I got there eventually. In operation the Chocolate BT Works great. My first application for it is to control LoopMaster Pro inside of Guitar Rig 7.
Thank you for a clear and understandable and useful tutorial. Most people explain this stuff at the level of a rocket scientist so I appreciate the simplicity and practicality of your video
thanks , it will be great having a video of chocolate controlling the banks of mx5, that is painful click two switches to do so
Remember when you go down you become a road crayon, so wear protection. Especially gloves, because when you go down your natural instinct is to catch yourself and at that point your hands become road crayons. Seen it twice, no pretty no flesh on the palms.
just rebuild this hack and it works perfectly! thanks man!!! got the fs-5u for 10 bucks used and the cable for 2,95 new. friggin great!
Can’t see shit
Parabéns pelo vídeo, me salvou aqui
So, there aren't many videos on this on the web. So, you don't have to remove the seat it tank to do this job, I see. That's a plus. Did you have to remove anything to get the valve cover off?
The valve cover bolts are easy to access and remove. The valve cover comes off with a little bit of lifting and turning. Not easy, but with a little patience and trial & error.
Can you use this with the tone bridge app?
Aaaaaaaaah 240p my old friend
I have a problem with my chocolate. After saving the settings, everything works, when I turn chocolate off and on, the settings disappear. I tried Cubesuit Android and PC. I set specific PCs under the switches and save them. What else should I do?
How can I increase the wireless range of the Chocolate Switch? 3-4 meters from the computer, the connection often drops. The same is true if I use a MidiB USB receiver - at this time I compared MidiA, the range is three times better. I think the problem is in the iron casing.
they sell a whole wind reduction foam cover for it , you don't get audio issues on their 360 cameras thou its sooo good
That sounds like a good solution. Going to try the HSU Windslayer. The foam looks twice as thick as the foam I’ve been trying out.
Its work for zoom g3x?
Just ordered one and the wireless midi adapter. Was wasting buttons on snapshots on my HX Effects.
Do you know how to connecting with nux mg400 please
Thank you so much, this video completely changed my view on this old Pod I got, I'm amazed!!
Great tip thank you so much saved me buying another FS5U. In my case I purchased a non molded cable where I could unscrew the jack casings then joined a small wire to make a bridge connection on the black mono jack and it works great.
Does it work on the Headrush Gigboard?
I am in the process of swapping out the carb on my magician, I picked out the Nibbi PE28mmFL as well but before ordering I realized the air intake on the Nibbi is 49.5mm OD and the stock magician air hose is 44mm ID. What did you do there to fix that? I was going to buy a 2" hose and try to jb weld that into the air box but I cant even figure out how to remove the air box since the air box is larger than the frame.
Most just delete the air box and throw a filter on it. I'm researching myself right now. I just got The Magician today 6/26/23 and got it together and it fired right up but it has a bad miss during acceleration for a nano second and then motors through. What did you end up doing? Thanks.
@@bags4930 I ended up buying a fuel filler hose kit and took the airbox out, removed the old air tube and installed the new one with some jb weld and reinstalled the airbox. Ended up selling the bike, I was working on it for my gf and she sold it before I was able to get it running but the new owner got it running and says it runs great. If you installed a cone filter on your bike and did an air box delete which seems to be the most common practice. You will need to increase the size of your jets in the carburetor. The increase in airflow requires some tuning and you should notice a power increase.
I was able to salvage the original carb. I took a Dremel and cut slots in the taper proof bolts. I unscrewed them with a flathead screwdriver. With the bowl off, I removed the float & needle & sprayed carb cleaner to everything. Probably had a metal shaving stuck in the needle area. I replaced the taper bolts with machine Allen bolts and put it back together. No leaks and the bike runs great. Even better once I put a 17 tooth sprocket on the front.
We need a intake values for the magician 250
Should be written on the swing arm of the bike if I’m not mistaken
so the pedal jack ion the unit is also MIDI ? out ?
Yes, its a special cable that takes the TRS pedal and wires it to Midi.
Hi Thanks for your video. Before I saw this I bought the pedal and set it up but was trying to use different MIDI commands and had problems. I'm wondering if you could test these settings to see if it was just an isolated problem I was having. I set the first footswitch for MIDI CC # 50 and #51 which is supposed to give you previous rig . The 2nd Footswitch I set for CC#51and #52 which is supposed to give you next rig. Then the 3rd footswitch I set to cc#64 for Tap Tempo (which never worked) and the 4th footswitch I set to cc#52 to trigger footswitch #4 so I could hold it down and enter tuner mode. Footswitches 1 and 2 would work at first but after trying footswitch 3 or 5 then Footswitch 1 or 2 would be erratic, sometimes causing the display to flash but not change rigs.
Thanks
Here's video of The Wayne Show using the HD500 for the guitar, the mic, and running backing tracks through the cd/mp3 input. The recording is directly from 'headphone' output of the pedal. czcams.com/video/zAOOtTZS_Z8/video.html
So it’s handle mechanism in the middle

great tip & trick !
As soon at the intake valve closes you line up the T line as your now on the compression stroke
How do you know which valve is the intake and which is the exhaust?
@@iamsetset well start with exhaust valve ,it’s directly parallel with the actual exhaust pipe .the other is intake and it directly line up with your carburetor… and the compression stroke is when the exhaust valve closes then both valves are closed
@@matthewanderson3631 Thanks much for the clarification Matthew.
Great hack!!
Did you ever find the solution? I’ve had this same issue for years and never figured it out. I had to slam it shut a few times and test pull to make sure it latched-every time I opened it. Today, I tried to lubricate the latches on both sides again and played around with it. I realized that the problem is in the pull latch. Either a spring has failed, come loose, or the mechanism is otherwise seized preventing it from snapping back into place after you pull on it. You can easily test to see if you have the same issue. Work the pull latch while manipulating those release levers on each side. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to remove the pull latch so I can finally fix this issue. Been a great truck for me and I hope to keep her on the road.
When you turn on smart harmony its working just for vocals,do nit bother the guitar sound
He has the harmonizer only on the mic effects chain. There is a separate chain for the guitar.
Fixed my problem!
I see One cable out from the FS5 and One cable going into the Looper - so what other cable are you cutting?
Can the "smart harmonizer" key off the guitar?
No, it's not that smart. It can follow what ever key you program in. But it does not compensate for chords outside the key, for example in the key of C if you play D7 and then Dmin7, it's not going to know to sing F# on the D7. (the 3rd above) because the key of C has F natural. Kind of a limitation, but a lot of times the smart harmony is really effective.
Thanks !
Nice song and nice video tks
Do they make replacement studs for the tailgate. I have a 2000 dodge decode and my passenger side has rusted off
I had the same problem, thanks for helping me figure it out! I almost replaced the latches too, before i saw your video. Thanks again!
THANKS MAN!
Thanks for this. Bought an RC-3 the other day and had a bit of a panic when I thought I'd have to buy two FS-5Us just in order to switch channels - especially as I don't really need the tap/stop/clear functionality. Just tried this and it worked so that's great!
this might seem a daft question but if i dont want to cut the plug off, i can instead tape a wire from the tip to the sleeve on the other jack
