Hello I’m switching from hospital corpsman to hopefully aviation machinists mate, is there any advice that you could give to me?

Come on man, you know there's a huge difference between your job as ASF, which half the Navy goes through, and being a master at arm security force number. Master at arms are not titled as police officers as the civilian officers on the base are. ASF isn't even allowed to perform law enforcement duties or drive a police car. They're mostly for standing at the gates and augmenting.

This explains why only US Army and US Air Force MPs are considered actual law enforcement by civilian law enforcement agencies. When Navy ships would go to Busan, South Korea, US Army MPs would patrol the clubs at night. Navy security has no jurisdiction in Korea.

funny that I found this channel...my 22 year old son is heading to basic in a week, will attend A school in Pensacola to be a Structural Aircraft Mechanic too...he's excited about this chapter in his life...as his Dad, it's a little tough to think I won't be able to see him for a while, but once he's in Pensacola, I'm sure things will level out for him....and me and his mom.
