it’s crazy how this performance has stuck with me, it’s so good. i wish Anita was given the role of Ariel in the live action “The Little Mermaid” and change all the songs and gave everything a Caribbean flavor.. if you’re going to change something, really change it and make it new. oh well, this performance is still timeless.

Sometimes less is better honestly. Toia had control and emotion. Danica had range and runs and in my opinion slightly over sung a little. Therefore I would’ve chosen Toia. And if you pay attention at the end Toia waited till Danica finished over singing before she came back into the song, that’s a good musician move.
