Valerie
I like that last tree skirt. Will look out for your pattern
I like Valerie.
Valerie
Great job Valerie! I have tried to find old patterns. Always a struggle.
That was some wonderful practical advice that I use when I make my grocery list every week. I just need to spread that system around to other parts of my life. I feel kind of silly not applying it to my hobbies in the past. Thank you for sharing your experience. I've been quilting for over 20 years and still learn new ways from you! Congratulations to the winner! I'd love a chance to quilt Valerie in an Angela Walters style. It looks perfect for that! Thank you for another giveaway. Have a great week!
I love your videos. The Valerie quilt is adorable!
love the Valerie quilt top . Great tips for fabric shopping .Thanks
Good video today, I need to be more careful with my fabric purchases. Valerie.
Valerie is a lovely quilt.
Love the Valerie quilt top.
I agree with everything you said! VALERIE adorable quilt top!
Oh YES! “Tis The Season” for Christmas🎄🌲 Best tip EVER…HAVE A PLAN♥️♥️♥️ Thanks for sharing you beautiful Christmas “Quilties” Maureen. SO beautiful The Valerie colors are very, very nice💕🧵
The tips for deliberate fabric purchasing are great. Thank you. I love the Valerie quilt; perfect for a quick baby gift. It would be wonderful if someone could buy the rights to Martingale’s library and sell those patterns again.
I'm making Church Ladies Aprons for my daughters for Christmas. Valerie would be great for Montgomery County Project Linus.
Valerie
That should be my name, "Willy Nilly". I have bought so much fabric that I'll never use. What a waste of money. Have watched all of your amazing videos. I wish you'd have taped years ago! Thanks!
I clicked on the pattern link and it showed the Christmas tree but not the wreath. Is that part of the Christmas tree pattern?
The picture is of the Tree but the pattern has both.
The Christmas tree wall hanging is beautiful! I may have enough green scrap for that! Lol, you are so right, you can’t match fabric if you don’t bring it in. Congrats to Diane! The Valerie quilt top is lovely.
Valerie is an adorable quilt. Love the color. Thanks for all the great tips for buying Christmas fabrics!
Valerie is perfect for a baby quilt! Love it!
Gorgeous Christmas fabric IS pretty to look at, though! ::) Especially with metallics in it. Valerie is a cute top.
Where you 20 years ago when I was collecting all the pretty fabric?😉 excellent suggestions that I will now follow. Thank you.😊
I make multiples of many Christmas projects. My son's in-laws have 'adopted me' since my husband passed and my son's family moved to IN. I always make something small for their families to have a Christmas. This year, I did embroidery winter birds in small frames, I'll add greenery and ribbons to make them ornaments before I wrap them. They have no idea how much it means to me that they've added me to their family.
Great explanation of how to plan a Hunter Star design. Thank you
Rows of bricks is very pretty!❤
Just found you. You talk so much sense. I love making scrappy quilts. I hate waste.
I do agree about the accuquilt cutters not leaving space between blades. I don’t like it because it doesn’t encourage creativity in a block. I guess they’re in the market for selling more products, but who can afford it all? I will admit I do have an accuquilt, but I tried to buy versatile dies.
I hate it when people make hateful or argumentative posts. 😇😇
Rows of bricks!
I enjoy your channel! I've been using Grippy spray for several years now, I agree, it is a great product! I have had to respray a ruler that I use quite frequently, but only after years of use. Thank you for your video!
Thanks for helping us to not waste our money on useless products we know that's how we learn I'm grateful for all your wisdom
Pick me, pick me! I really like the Rows of Bricks quilt top.
Hi, Maureen! Since I have discovered your channel, I have so enjoyed every episode you have presented. Thank you so much for the all that I have learned from your videos; and I have been sewing and quilting for decades. Thank you for all the effort you put into every episode! I appreciate you! 🙂
I've learned so much from your videos. Thank you! Rows of Bricks is very pretty.
Thank you so much for giving us the results of trying items! I have tried a couple blade sharpeners, and they also seemed to make the blades worse! Rows of Bricks is a lovely quilt top!
Rows of bricks quilt top please!
I would love to win the Rows of Bricks! I will finish it and add it to the donated quilts for displaced fire families 😊 Loved your video today ❤
Enjoy your views on different subjects. The "Rows of Bricks" quilt has some lovely colors!
Hi Maureen ! Have been watching and loving your opinions for some time now ! I have not heard of Grippy. I use Invisi-Grip and just love it. It does not have to be reapplied. I've had it on some of my rulers and templates for quite a few years, and it doesn't ever seem to peel or wear off. (Bonus - It's relatively inexpensive!) I started using it way back when Eleanor Burns recommended it, and I've seen Deb Tucker use it on some of her templates/rulers! Maybe you've tried it before. Best wishes from Central NYS !!
I so appreciate your opinions! Thanks for your reviews and instructions. The Rows of Bricks quilt is charming!
Rows of Bricks - really like your videos😊
I would appreciate hearing an update the rotary blade sharpener if you find a way to make it sharpen slightly used blades. It certainly doesn't work for me either. I am very disappointed with that product which was given to me as a gift by my daughter.
I haven't understood the apparent popularity of those cutting machines. The pieces cost so much, not to mention the machine itself, and it seemed to me like there had to be a lot of waste or a lot of prep work. I'd rather use a ruler or even a template (yes, I'm old fashioned I guess). I have a lot of rulers and those do the trick unless it's paper piecing.
Row of bricks is awesome. I wasted money on the rotary sharpener too.
I love your videos and your opinions!
Rows of bricks.
Would love to win the Rows of Bricks top. I enjoy all your videos and appreciate your opinions.
Giving your opinions is okay as you are the opiniated quilter, but don't make opinaions not based on fact. For example, have you or someone you know time the time to find the file, load it, adjust it, set up the cutting plate, and time the cutting time for a Scan n' Cut? Compare that against someone tracing a design with a light board, tracing the design onto fusible, use an exacto knife for intricate design, fuse, and cut out the design. Either use a person that has little experience with a Scan and Cut and a person with little experience doing the light board method, to get correct results. Or, use experienced person using the Scan and Cut versus an experienced applique person using the other method. Then the results would be equitable and not just an opinion. Who knows, the Scan and Cut would be faster with scanning the image, digitizing it, arranging the image, setting up the cutting mat, then cutting it. Maybe the hand tracing method might be quicker. Measure the fabric waste by weight. My question is-- How many Bernina 990s do you think your dealership will sell at $22,000 a pop, the ptrice of an average new car?
Rows of Bricks is a perfect size to fit on my Moxie to quilt the top.
