Where I live - First Ride 2024
First ride on my Triumph Tiger 660 in 2024.
It's been quite a warm winter with not so much snow but it is Manitoba and much of the latest snowfall has turned to ice and has been quite stubborn to melt. My driveway has been a sheet of ice that hasn't been able to clear up and dry so today was the soonest I dared get out even though we have already had some temperatures that would have allowed it.
So here we go ... after a careful check over the previous day ... on with the first ride!

Bet ya wanted to actually see the screen as we go through some of the features. Here's a little more for you with the Taylor Big Baby still plugged in.
How well can the NUX MG300 do Acoustic?
zhlédnutí 860Před 6 měsíci
Demonstrating how well the NUX MG300 can be used on the acoustic guitar. On this video I am playing a Taylor Big Baby. There is some mic bleed of the guitar into the talking mic which fills out the sound but would be similar in a singing playing scenario. There is just a low pass filter on the guitar audio but otherwise no additional processing.
MG300 Let's check it out!

I've had this NUX MG300 pedal for a couple years actually but thought I'd do another video about it and show some of the great sounds it is capable of. It's the perfect tool to crafts your great guitar sounds and even to work on your jamming skills. On this video I'm playing an Epiphone Les Paul Muse.
Life above the 49th
zhlédnutí 66Před 7 měsíci
I know this has been a relatively warm winter with much less snow than normal but I thought it would be fun to show you a snippet into life above the 49th parallel where snow and cold is the reality each and every winter. Here's me doing a little tidying up of the snow on my driveway. Not that it's very much but just needed a little cleaning up.

Hub drive e-bike tire change challenges

On a recent trip to town I got my first flat tire on my e-bike. I didn't have a tripod so I wasn't able to get all the best angles but hopefully this will help show some of what is involved in patching a tire on a hub drive e-bike.

There is a wide variation in the distance that an e-bike can reportedly go and I proved in the last video that I could far exceed it so here's some pointers to help you get more kilometres or miles on a single battery charge.

how does your nux mg300 display the pedals like that?
I had watched a couple of your videos and just happened to notice your keychain. I got my Tiger from the same place! Greetings from a fellow Winnipeger!
Well that pretty cool! What colour did you pick? I’m a little south of the city.
@@DonMPhotographyI picked up the korosi red
Thank you. Very informative and easy to follow.
Can it be an interface too?
No it’s just a compact “easy to use” digital mixer
How is your experience with the shad top box?
It’s been great … only down side is it is not the same key as the ignition.
Great video have you had any problems with panels rattling or coming loose ?
Nothing seeming to come loose but the dash/windscreen does creak a little maybe when in buffeting wind. … I’m at around 20k for mileage.
Buongiorno, vorrei sapere come smontare la carena laterale della mia Tiger 660 sport per sostituire le frecce anteriori. Grazie Angelo
I hadn’t had to do that job yet but I think I’ve seen information on that on this forum. www.tiger660.com
Please can you make a video on how to change the spark plugs on the Tiger Sport 660?
This session is Amazing🎉
Waste of time thanks
Hi, now that my warranty has expired, I too would like to reset the service light independently. Your video is quite clear, now I will purchase OBD2 but I can't find the software, if I give you my email address, could you send it to me? Thank you, Bye bye
I can't send you the software but You can find more information on my other video with some download links. czcams.com/video/ywqbw9Cj0ZQ/video.htmlsi=WmTbUM-SX1BfTJNy ...but to make it easy heres the links to download the software. tuneecu.net/TuneECU_En/links.html or here for a more direct link. tuneecu.fr You will have to pay for and register the software to use it.
You dont have guarantee from triumph?
Thanks for making this! I also have the blue 660 and am thinking about a tail bag. When you aren't using the bag, can you just tuck the straps under the seat or do you remove entirely?
I remove the straps when not using it as I have a hard top box a well
Can you send the different signals to left and right without using another pedal?
Yes there are two signal paths. The stomp is mostly only limited by processor power. And even that is pretty respectable.
Minute 2 helped finally pair my helmet 😂 thank you!
Cardo is overpriced so I stay with Lexin it`s good and cheap
I have a cardo freecom 4+ and I have been trying to pair to a Lexin b4fm. I can’t seem to get them to talk. I go through the cardo app and try to pair a non-cardo unit and I use the intercom pair mode “x” and it just won’t talk. Any suggestions?
The B4fm has a common user manual with the x16 which is what I was testing with. …I wonder if you did a reset on the B4fm if it might cooperate??
@@DonMPhotography tried that. My app kicks me out of my cardo connection while it’s trying to find the Lexin. Any ideas? I tried making sure I have the latest update for both the cardo unit and the app
I was just out on a ride the other day and my friend has the B4fm. He put his into pairing mode while we were having our icecream and I put mine in pairing mode with the app. They were both flashing indicating waiting to pair. I forget which button it is on the Lexin but he pressed it on his and they connected shortly. On the way back he said we actually had a little more range than he did with his other friend who has the Lexin x16. …For the record I do see there is an update on the Cardo that I have not installed yet??
Size liters? I have hjc 3xl flip up, or full size
You would have to find some way to try it. The large barely fits and only if you put it in just the right way.
Noice
Gracias por la info Saludos desde Valencia Spain👍
Really good video - thank you from the UK!
No manual não diz para a mota estar no cavalete . Apenas vertical sem peso em cima.
Wow this is retarded, they should have made it so you can just push a couple buttons on the controls like every other vehicle out there.
Mph or kmh... who cares? Just have a fun)
hi, what size is your helmet??
It is a Large, if I remember correctly
Great video. I have to say these 660s have the worst rear end. I probably ride harder than most but between the hollow swing arm the insanely long chain and no tensioner it’s really hard to align the thing correctly and get it to stay put. My axle bolt wants to twist which probably means it’s bent. Got a new axle bolt and same thing happens. It’s really apparent one major cost saver was the design of the swingarm. It looks great but once you get the hardware off the rear wheel it’s like wtf is this crap. I looked at a brand new Daytona 660 at the dealer yesterday and the cap at the end of the swing arm wasn’t even in straight. Transmission shifts badly when the chain isn’t right. This is by far my biggest complaint with my trident 660. Someone needs to design a better axle block and adjustment mechanism. I think they’d sell well
What a horrible video you. You didn’t even show how to do it on the screen. If you are going to make a video make sure to show what you are doing on the screen.
The video audio has a good amount of white noise going on. At first I thought you were demonstrating the EIM sound quality using the video audio but then the EIM audio at the end was clean so I guess it was your video audio setup that was producing the noise. Not a negative criticism as the review including the EIM audio was helpful. Just an observation. Thanks for the review.
Hola inyento conseguir un buen sonico con una guitarra clasica y acustica usadon la nux mg300 hasta ahora sin resultado satisfactorio, saludos desde jujuy argentina

Thank you very much It works ❤
Barely audible delay
how many pairs can you have up to?
That''s great info!! Thanks
Mine are both 13mm wrench for the adjustment nuts
Does it work for Godox speed light TT6600?
If you mean the TT600? No it does not. Needs to be that plug in style flash lamp that looks a lot like a radio tube.
@@DonMPhotography Yes , TT600 sorry about that . I saw the softbox on Amazon app and it said that was for speed light but videos on CZcams don’t mention that . Thank you for replying my comment !
You are inspiring. I'm 72 and going back to riding after an injury.
Gracias

Hi. I am hoping you could do me a favour and measure from the ground up to the top of the seat when the seat is at the lowest level as well as ground to top of stem where the seat sits. My wife is 5 feet tall & not sure that this bike will be too big for her or not. Thanks in advance
It’s 29.5” to the top of the seat tube to the ground. I won’t give the seat height as I have a shock absorber seat post and that ads quit a bit to the lowest possible seat height.
Thank You!! @@DonMPhotography

Glad I came upon this video. Another video for the same thing recommended an ODBII Scanner that was three times as much as the one you used. Veepak came this morning, and along with TuneECU, that pesky Maintenance light is gone. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks, just checked mine, the cable definitely seemed loose.
Thank you!!!!
Heiii i m from india delhi I m Tarun i ll try this song same like youuuu sirrrrrr Perfect match this song with tiger 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Glad you liked it! :-) I tried to come up with something new this past winter but inspiration did not happen. :-(
Nice bag but I took mine off. A real pain locking the seat with the straps. Going with a pannier. I don't want to have to fight every time I take the seat off. The pannier is the way to go.
A block size of only 16 on a 2012 iMac - in which DAW please?
I'm using Studio One.
@@DonMPhotography Which means on playback the tracks are shuffled to a high buffer, that's why I asked. You can set it to 16 buffer or 1024, makes no difference for playback. The only time there's a difference is for record armed tracks. Even VI's are shuffled on playback buffer unless record armed for live play. Studio one has very poor low latency performance on OSX (good on windows), but if you were arming a track at a time or even two to record when needed, that's totally within expectations as possible and that's when the 16 buffer would have given you super low realtime latency. Presonus only copied Logic with a hybrid buffer after they realised they could not get good performance on OSX otherwise, as did Pro Tools with their 1024 playback buffer and Cubase/Nuendo with Asio guard. Try Studio One version 2 on OSX at 16 buffer, when the entire project would actually be on 16 buffer the entire time, then come back to me :)
Thanks for this video!
Great Video
This was an absolute gamechanger! I was ready to drive this machine out to the country and set it free
I have a jbl prx718 sub with 2 Mackie thump 15s and was wondering if 2 bose f1 812s with 2 f1 subwoofers would outperform my JBL 718 both in sound pressure level and dynamics? I have an opportunity to purchase them at a reasonable price, just need to make sure im not going backwards in bass performance. Thanks . I do a lot of mobile DJ stuff graduation parties bars restaurants. Indoor and outdoor.
It’s always best to A/B speakers in real life if you can. Sorry, I am not familiar with the JBL’s so I can’t comment on how they compare. I just know I liked the Bose ones when I got to try them for an event.
Was the bass performance crowd-pleasing. Most of my music is probably hip hop bar typical DJ stuff.
I didn’t have the Bose Sub … I would say it sounds clean and rich but not necessarily heavy dance beat style???
