zhlédnutí 172Před 3 lety
I decided to make the best of this winter storm, and what better way than doing some good old snow burnouts? Stay safe at home y'all, it's COLD OUT! Local weather says it's in the mid teens, with a wind chill in the negative Fahrenheit.

On top of it I also got an old 95-4 grind Dyno Cam, and an ARC billet aluminum flywheel!!! Race Kart Revival + Mods! | First Ride!!
zhlédnutí 95Před 3 lety
I finally finished reassembling the Green Monster, a Predator 212 race kart my friends gifted to me in pieces for Christmas! I modded it a little further while it was open, removing the governor, low oil sensor, and the custom muffler, but it fired on the second pull! Unfortunately I discovered that this is the bad EPA/CARB certified variant of the Predator 212, so I'll be replacing the carbure...
Race Kart Predator 212 Engine Reassembly | New Project!
zhlédnutí 112Před 3 lety
This is a pretty simple edit, I no longer have the tripod, so I'm pretty limited in camera angles and such, but here's the video! My friends gave me an old race kart as a late Christmas gift, so this is the start of a series on reviving this thing! This thing is LITERALLY a basket case, though! It actually came with the engine pieces in a bucket!! The Predator 212 non-hemi that came with it was...

Vintage 3HP Flathead Revival!
zhlédnutí 60Před 4 lety
At the end of my last video I introduced you guys to my little 3HP flathead. Well, I got it running! After cleaning and adjusting the ignition points, it runs really well! For only $30, this little engine is true Craigslist gold! This engine will power the Radio Rod project, which will progress slowly, as I'm focusing on getting the kart done in time for the DIY Go Karts Build Off! Thanks for w...
Yard Kart Resto Pt. 5: All Systems Go! Header Install & Hoop Removal!
zhlédnutí 197Před 4 lety
In this video, I finally fixed the chain alignment, installed a header, and removed a few custom parts from the previous owner! This thing is way fast now, and it looks unbelievably better! I probably removed about 10-20 lbs. of excess parts! I also got a Raptor racing connecting rod recently, so I will be installing that soon! Epic One Take Go Kart Drifting!!!
zhlédnutí 133Před 5 lety
This kart can drift all day! To show it off, I did a one take pavement drifting video! It wasn't easy, since it's blasting hot out, but it was so epic to see how well this thing can drift! Enjoy. DIY Go Karts Website: www.diygokarts.com/index.html

Yard Kart Resto Pt. 4: Alignment Problems | Almost there!
zhlédnutí 312Před 5 lety
Well, I thought the chain realignment would be easy. Nope. I attempt to realign the sprocket, only to realize that the biggest problem was the drive wheel "bearings" that had the effect of bushings. Ack! Also, this thing leaves tire marks........ Check out the DIY Go Karts forum: www.diygokarts.com/ My username is JTSpeedDemon
Yard Kart Resto Pt. 3: First Ride!! | Redneck Runner!
zhlédnutí 87Před 5 lety
Today I finally get to ride the One Tire Fryer!! It's a lot faster than I thought, and it actually DRIFTS around the yard! It does have one kink though, and that is that it throws the chain all the time. And yes that is a pillow for a seat bottom. In the next video I will be making this thing nicer, and possibly do some performance mods! Thanks for watching! DIY Go Karts website: www.diygokarts...
Adventure at Pate Swap Meet 2019! | Great deals and met Carsandcameras!
zhlédnutí 192Před 5 lety
Sorry about the weird video format, I think it has to do with a different camera than usual. I attended the Pate Swap Meet at Texas Motor Speedway this year on April 27th, and I had a BLAST! For a total of $70, I got parts for the One Tire Fryer, and the basis for a future project! I met John and Ike from Carsandcameras, as well as Daniel and Jason from Build Break Repeat(Big shout out to them!...

Never heard of 95-4 cam, need up dating on cam 4 sure!!!

W.t.f. dude, the point man😢.
Hi where can l Oder this Raceing block
Can you do another video on the raptor3 10,000 rpm engine and show the cam and valve gap and what degree offset flywheel key does it have. What is the bore size. Thanks again.
Woooo kkk, ohhh boooyyy (insert voice squeal here)
we need more vids!
It's got a lightened cam. I like your enthusiasm fella but you gotta get more facts about these ol engines. Go to Bob's 4 cycle and open your eyes and your mind. Nice video keep it up.
Do u have link, what is thair something to add about these engines.
who did you shoot for nate
What's up with the karate kid outfit?
Ice in texas? I suppose yall got a lack of salt and plow trucks rollin round haha. I dig the red zip tie is still on the coil, that's the high performance kill switch. Anyway I never bottomed out the studs in the block, just a bit of Loctite on the threads into the block, thread them all in at the right level, then lubricate the nuts with oil and torque them down. I have done predator side covers this way as well and didn't have a single stud spin, don't weld on the stud uneven heating and weld shrink when cooling is not good for it. And if the thread is turning when torqueing, it defeats the advantage of the stud, it just becomes a regular bolt. Your doing great! id put the studs in FHB's unit, and bolts in the hothead. The old bolts should be fine, but on the last flathead I threw together I used regular grade 5 new bolts and tighter 8mm thin washers, torque 140 in/lbs. Higher grade bolts won't stretch / hold torque.
Kartssource how much hp does your go kart go?
Hothead is around 6 HP or so because of the HiPo head and header.
i picked up an early 80s Bird Engineering kart. 5hp Briggs, seems all original. sure would like some info on these beauties. it hits about 31mph. no mods in its future, it's too clean.
you can find me on diygokarts.com , check it out and we can tell you pretty much anything!
Can we just appreciate that it started first pull in approximately 18 degree Fahrenheit temperatures??
Your welcome bud, and that was very generous of Nate! Glad to see this all come together. I think the green race kart, nate's engine, and my parts found a great home. That is a genuine honda flywheel puller BTW., should have a part #. I have another :) If you need a factory stroke crank, factory length ARC rod, or both just let me know.
I'll shoot you a DM on DIYGK!
Good work man! I’m building an emmick express go kart at the moment. Having trouble figuring out the whole throttle control rod setup. My whole throttle control rod is missing so I’m stuck trying to piece it together.
Good luck! Try posting on the diygokarts.com forum, we can help you there. Also after doing research looks like this isn’t an Emmick but some kind of heavily modified European kart, perhaps a Birel.
I gotta set my rupp dart kart up ive got one good brake assembly all the wheels and rear spacers but i have a set of alluminum rear 6inch wheels and offroad tires im considering throwing on the back to save some time
I wish i could still ride my go karts
I have plans to possibly start mower racing
Next build is going to be a slammed mower here. Plan is to get it as low as possible and keep it rideable
Woah thats neat also congrats on starting high school also btw one wheel peels are funner imo
You deserve more subscribers
Duel ball bearing, nice, my motor is only ball bearing on the pto side, and replaceable bronze bushing on the flywheel side, cool bore as well. I did not catch it, but is your steel or aluminum bore? Anyways, I am replacing my camshaft, if you want it , I will send it to you for free, With your parents permission of course. I understand if you want to be anonymous, no worries. Its a 90s NOS dyno cams piece, here are specs , I want a more aggressive cam Rpm range 3500-6600 rpm. The 95-4 has a broad power band and is very easy on the valve train. You will not need billet lifters and should be fine with 18 lb spring pressure and about 28 degrees timing. Keep up the good work! PM me on the DIY's if interested
It's a steel bore. Honestly I'm SPOILED with how many features this engine has! A lot of Raptor engines don't have these kind of parts!
SWEET! I've got an old tiller that someone donated to my channel, it's got a 3hp Briggs on it that I want to do something with. unfortunately the carb/fuel system is missing from mine, good job on getting that running again!
Thanks! Good luck with the tiller! I actually acquired a 5 HP tiller recently, and I've gotten it running, but the ignition system needs work. No video though since I just plan to flip it for money. I'd suggest trying to track down a float carb for that 3 HP, they're really nice!
Gas leak = no good.....
LOL, yeah. Thank goodness I fixed it.
Sweet!
Dig the fish eye...
Yeah I should've put the GoPro on a tripod to get a better view of the whole culdesac.... It was fun though!
Your one cool kid🤘
I just really wish the neighborhood semi-delinquents would get into stuff like this. (Rolls eyes)
@@kartssource5467 haha I've got all my neighbors and their kids out lately it's great
@@420racinglife4 Unfortunately knowing the neighborhood kids, they're more likely to try and steal my kart. If they could catch me LOL.
Your channel is growing bro! Nice burnout
It's growing slowly, but making a huge channel isn't really my goal. Mostly to share my experiences, entertain, and maybe get well known in the process. I really enjoyed the burnout, and the sound of the header. That and the harder launches, despite the high gearing.
I like to see you young guys with all this knowledge. Impressive!
That's wild i have the same kart. Im sorry you have to do all those reverse original mods. I will be following your build here and on DIY.
Yeah it kinda sucks how much this beautiful kart has been hacked up. You and I can be references between our karts!
I have really bad sun burn from the indy 500 i wish i could work on my karts
The Sunburn 500.....

go with what you got, changes will come along the way. you have a start. me and my boys use wheelbarrels. ill have them check you out. its great to live as close as i do to pates. i have a few roller projects still that i got last year.
Yeah, even if I eventually throw in the towel on it(which I probably won't, I'm a persistent little bugger), it still makes for a unique wagon. But It'll eventually get an engine, probably a Briggs flathead of some sort.
Hey bud, I like what you got on your drawings. my family is all in to karting. we have 2 snowmobiles and 83 Ody. ill let my son know about your channel
I used a different camera than usual for most of the video, so that's why it's a weird format and most of it has poor sound.
