Stanley, the prettiest seaside location on the north coast is where we based ourselves for 5 days. Besides taking a walk up onto the Nut, we also visited Dip Falls and The Big Tree. So much to see in such a small area, loving Tassie.

We visit the iconic Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair NP. With a little 3 year old in tow, there are only a few short walks we could do, and they were all amazing. Short walks to Dove Lake and the Boat Shed, lovely easy access to waterfalls and plenty of wildlife everywhere

We base ourselves in Waratah, known as the Tin Town. Lots of history in and around the small township as well as the Waratah Falls and Waratah Lake thats filled with platypus. We take a short drive out to Philospher Falls, another amazing walking trail.

We finally get the Yamaha out and get it wet and dirty on some great little tracks before taking the Wilderness Adventure boat tour where we see an abundance of wildlife including seals and dolphins. We don't show all of our travels, just a few of our favourites from our 6 days on Bruny Island.

We leave Southport and take a short drive to the gorgeous historic township of Franklin located on the Huon River. Located a short walk from our campsite was the Wooden Boat Centre, well worth a visit. We then headed to Cygnet and onto Gordon where we set up camp for a few days and just relax.

We head to the most southerly caravan park and pub in Australia, Southport. Not far from our base we find the most beautiful walking trail which was also dog friendly. Duckhole Lake, definitely visit. The far south of Tasmania is pristine, the drive to Cockle Creek was simply beautiful, and the beach....WOW

We capture the most amazing views from the the top of Mt Wellington before heading south to Geeveston where we set up camp and explored Hartz Mountain NP, Arve Falls and the Tahune Air Walk. We go from white fluffy snow to a white sandy beach in less than 30 minutes. Tasmania is full of little surprises.

Mate, get a couple good pairs of socks and one good pair of quality underwear made of polyester. One polyester pair of underwear from kmart lasted me 6 weeks of walking about 10-15kms everyday. Finished without any holes or issues whatsover. Used 3-4 pairs of thick woolen socks, soak them in clean water before the sweat dries so they dont get crusty and then let them dry
I was pretty happy in the end the theory worked especially after some wet feet days
How many oil filters are you going to take ?
Hi mate I did change 3 filters and oil changes over the 4390km , the last I done at betoota to ride back to longreach and probably wasn’t necessary but oil is cheap in comparison I guess.

what year bike what transmission did you change and where from, costs and final ratios vs standard etc
Hi mate it’s a 2015 I bought new, transmission standard - sprocket changed to 14/44 from original 14/47 combination to give it some reprieve on the long roads. Finished a couple of days ago and the bike was strong no dramas even after a few offs in the sand.

Excellent video mate it seems like a lot of gear spread out on the table especially with all those undies and sox but packs in quite nicely and at around 16kgs that's awesome. I've been umming and arrring about a Kovè rally bike but already have a WR450F MY19 which would be hard to part with so of course the other option is go for the Rally build thanks heaps for sharing I'll drop a link on Ride ADVs build you may have already seen it. Its National Park what is your dog doing there?
We didn’t take our dogs into the National park. If you’ve visited this location you’ll know that many areas are dog friendly. There are also a number of National Parks located in South Australia where you can visit with dogs, I suggest you look at the national parks website before you make further comments. We know the rules and we abide by them.
