SMBX Custom Boss: Golden Boss Bro.
I figured I'd make a boss for my recent level, "Bros. Bonanza," so here it is.
This guy can use all of the weaponry his subordinates can, including hammers, fireballs, iceballs, and boomerangs.
He can also stomp the ground to create damaging shockwaves.
Enjoy.

I was wondering if you were going to place a boss in this level and this one is perfect! A Bro possessing the projectile of the others is a brilliant idea and encapulates the idea of the level as a whole.

You've really put the the Bros. Corps to good use in this level. With their tricky placement and projectiles hindering your progress, it really shows off why they are Bowser's most Elite minions behind the Magikoopas and Koopalings.
Thanks so much, Almond! I’ve always loved those enemies, and they rank among my favorite of Bowser’s minions (my number one favorite is Shy Guy, though). What’s your favorite Mario enemy, BTW? :)
@omberonilink4118 My favorite Mario enemy has to be the Snifits. They look almost identical to Shy Guys but their gun faces and snarky attitudes really make them stand out from their pale-faced contemporaries.
Snifits are awesome. I love that one scene in Color Splash where, after locking Mario in prison, the Snifit says, “Well, I’ve already locked you in jail. There isn’t actually anything much worse I can do without raising this game’s age rating.” 😂
@omberonilink4118 Usually I dislike meta humor like that but it fits the situation so well that I can't complain about it.
Nice recreation. Though I expected the final phase to be longer,, it is understandable given that it's a remake of a NES Boss.

Agreed! It’s an underrated classic. Yes, the pits are so annoying, especially those Unithorns that attack you and make you lose coins.
I got incredible whiplash from the SM64 star get tune.
8:51 Love the use of Megalovania. However an enemy rush instead of a unique boss is a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, it was still a good conclusion to an epic level.

The theme for this level allows for a surprisingly high degree of creativity for the enemy roster. You even managed to include Peepas as their own type of threat seperate from Boo Buddies.

This is extremely interesting! How is the player "leading" Bubble Buddy? He doesn't seem automated.
Thanks so much! Oh, basically the Blob Buddy replaces the Bot slimes from Zelda 2, so it follows the player around. If Mario is behind the blob, it will go backwards; if Mario is in FRONT of the blob, it will move forwards. :)

Neat level! It's style is reminiscent of old SMBX levels back in the day which I like! I do have some very tiny nitpicks though. Some enemies like the yellow koopa, charging chucks & wigglers don't have their colors match the level's blue colors Also, the white block thing with blue spots on them have their black outline missing on their right side. Cool level nonetheless though!

A very blue-utiful level. A small gripe I have is that the Wigglers, Charging Chunks, and Koopas should have been recolored as well. However, it isn't necessary for the level to be good.

Wowie Zowie; this is probably the best boss you have ever made! Firstly, I really enjoy Boom-Boom's personality. The wannabe tough guy schtick just works with him and the joke about his attack pattern is pretty funny. Secondly, I like how complex the attack patterns DOOM-DOOM has. They are easy to avoid but are leagues more difficult than any offical Boom-Boom fight. I hope more World Bosses follow in DOOM-DOOM's footsteps.

A short but sweet level that does something I wish the mainline games do more often; use the Invincible(Rainbow) Star as a main gimmick. The music is oddly generic for the setting, though. That is a personal preference, though.

Oh, yes, unfortunately, I couldn’t add the music I wanted to the level (which was “Star Hill” from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time) due to already adding a custom song to the Starman Event (in this case, the invincibility theme). I’d like to find a way to add both custom songs to the level, though!
There are so many different enemies that it is a bit staggering. The Archon Aranchnid is an imposing foe but its main defense is simply to shoot webs when its enemy is at a low level. I expected them to be more mobile but the gimmick of reaching a ? block to activate the Flame-Thrower is pretty inventive. If you could find a way to add new elements each time an eye is lost, this Boss would be perfect.
Yeah! I like to create a variety of enemies in levels like these. Thanks! Yes, I think so too. I think I might try to attach the Archon Arachnid’s main body to a moving Layer so that it moves around more. :) Maybe it will move around more the more eyes that are defeated? :)

@@omberonilink4118 Creepy Crawlers are like monster, they have wings and some of them doesn't and their skin is green and they spray acid at their pray or eat them. They may have 4 arms that can crawl on walls and ceilings.
They sound cool! They kind of remind me of the Xenomorphs from Alien. :)
@@omberonilink4118 IKR, these creatures can be found near Mansion 8, which is one of the most dangerous place in the mane nine.

I enjoyed this level from start to finish. The falling apples were incorporated very well within the level! Whispy's boss fight is neat, but I think the attacks look a little too easy to dodge. Perhaps if the air bullets would shoot at a lower angle and Whispy's vines are larger and take up more space, it would be a bit more intense.

This is a MASSIVE level. I really like how there are so many Thwomp Variants that have specific roles within the level. The only con I can see is that it may need more checkpoints.
It is! It took me a while to make it lol. Thanks! I tried to add Whomps and Thwimps in to make it more “Thwomp”-based. I agree. Is it possible to add multiple Checkpoints without the game glitching? I think I tried once, but I don’t remember if it worked. I would like to do so if it’s possible. :)
The Dragoneel really stole the show. An overall great level, both aesthetically and design wise.

I really enjoy how unique this is but it seems like the Submarine Guys are unable to pose much of a threat as they are. Perhaps if they shoot torpedos in a similar way to the Ice Witch Koume or launch them in a much faster way, they could be more of a threat.
This level reminds me of Melody Town from Kirby Epic Yarn. Though personally I think you played with the music gimmick a little better.

This is probably one of your most creative levels yet. I really like how most of it revolves around the P Balloon and how punishing it could potentially be by having a low amount of items and a vast amount of 1 hit kill lava. The Checkpoint might need to be lower, though.

The platform mechanic is impressive, how did you force Mario to jump to touch the coin and activate it?
Oh, thank you! Basically I made a Layer (called “Bolt Platform”) for the platform and the coin generator, and then made two Events (called “Platform move” and “Platform stop”) that activate when the coin is collected. The “Platform move” Event makes the platform move for about 1 second, which activates the “Platform stop” Event, which makes the platform stop moving until Mario collects another coin. Hope this makes sense. :)
Yes, but that doesn't have anything to do with jumping correct?
Oh, sorry, I forgot to explain: The coins generate from the top of the platform, so if Mario stands on them, they won’t spawn, so Mario HAS to jump in order for the coins to spawn.
Ok now that makes sense, what a creative idea XD

Gear Gettaway music is perfect, especially considering Junior's affinity for smooth jazz. But I think it would be better if Junior was actually a miniboss that is possible to beat with varied attack patterns. Beating him earlier than expected could reward players with an alternative path or the level ending more quickly. Though these are merely just ideas. I don't want to pervert your vision to fit mines.
