We went on a Sunday in the early evening but besides the rain most booths were already closing up. The market is open until midnight but if you go on a Sunday I recommend going in the late afternoon.

Lol, awesome comment! However, this is Buffalo, NY. Which I call the most Canadian American city in the US. I grew up listening to Gordon Lightfoot, Rush, Triumph, The Hip, Bare Naked Ladies, Moxy Fruvous etc. Used to summer up at the Georgian Bay! Even had a few girlfriends up that way. Love me some Canada! On a side note... so sad to see the Sabres sucking for so many years.

It just now occurred to me that I should mention that we are actually in the process of remodeling and tidying up what you see here. Ultimately we hope to have it ready to rent out as a vacation rental or an event venue. What is with all the music in the background? Paradise is ruined with all that noise going on.
Yup, we have some neighbors below us that have a karaoke machine and people come by their and pay them a few pesos to sing. It goes on like this on and off throughout the day and ends in the evening. They are very poor people and this is one of the few ways they have to make a few pesos. It can be annoying sometimes but I it is what it is, the Philippines can be very noisy with stuff like that, scooters, chickens and other random sounds. My wife is their right now and just yesterday I was on the phone with her and she was complaining about the karaoke and she was born and raised their!🤣😂🤣😂 We have some land elsewhere that is even more remote that we plan to develop as to escape all this noise pollution. I have a couple videos on that, it's called Tabunok, which means fertile land, it is way more serene. But for now be sure we I sleep it's with AC and windows closed to keep cool and cancel noise! 😅

When I was a very young boy, 3 or 4 years old, one of the first stories my mom would read to me at bedtime was a nursery rhyme about a monkey who lived in a "Banyan tree". For most of my life I just assumed this was a fictional name for a tree in a silly story for little children. Now I am delighted to discover that "Banyan trees" are actual living trees! [hopefully with resident monkeys . . . ]
