how many pages are there in this version versus the tachen or my main question is why does the old version seem so much shorter than the newer one? is it because of text and cover size or what?

I just obtained one of these. Your pen is missing the clutch spring. Its a band of steel that sits in that groove, an O-shape that is slightly deformed into a triangular form which creates a tighter fit for the cap.

A 6-string version of the 651 exists and is for sale right now in Holland. There's also a smaller 650 grand concert version, but I haven't seen that one in the flesh yet, just in a catalog...

I bought one yesterday. In better shape than this one. You can remove the sticker with a warm hair dryer. When the glue is warm, the sticker comes off easily. I use all 12 strings, btw. I think it's totally pointless to use a 12-string as a 6-string unless you have enormous fingertips. They made comfortable 6-string guitars for that. Anyway, my first impressions of the 12-string 651 version: Full, warm sound with a LOT of bass.

This is what Amazon should sell. The complete and giant edition, not the paperback version, that thing is a trinket and it is cropped ignoring a lot of information.

Upon taking a tour of paisley park I found a stack of books in Princes personal office. This book was right on top. I had already been looking into it so I took it as a sign to get my own copy asap

Uhm, not sure if you read some old definition but with the exception of Wehrmacht and NVA, aswell as practices that are no longer fit for a democracy the Bundeswehr sees its identity and tradition in the entire German military history.
