When brake disc or anything behind it comes off, then after refitting lateral runout of the disc have to be checked with dial gauge. For example this is written in Brembo instructions.

Looks super fun bro! Here in Northing CA we have some short mountain rounds that goes parallel with the ocean and pops out near Santa Cruz. Much tighter than those Alpes but still fun! Those French/Swiss/German Alps is definitely something else! Went once and was blown away!

I have a Stelvio (same basic car). I did a boatload or research about these cars before I bought one- I'm a fleet mechanic so while I can fix anything, I would rather not have to. The one thing I've found is bad oil pumps or oil pressure solenoids- its a suck-job to replace and charges about 17hours for a shop to do (looking at a $4000 repair!) It is speculated that these pumps fail because of sludge, I would not go over 5,000 miles on an oil change, and avoid buying one that doesn't have any service records. The other thing are the sunroofs- especially if you have a pre 2020, they have a tendency to break- and it's not a cheap repair. And electrical gremlins- usually caused by weak batteries (and why I would recommend shutting off auto/stop every drive) For instance, I had to recently pull the infotainment fuse because my Serius XM broke- put it back in and it's been fine for a week so far. Basically they are no worse than German brands- in my opinion they are superior thanks to not eating through timing chains and turbos. Downside is parts will be more expensive than say a Kia or chevy.

Hi _fast4lfa, long story short : 20 years of Audi A8 (D3-4-5). Quality went down and I bought a Tonale for the misses... set eyes on the Gulia (formerly had 2 times a 166) and now decided to wrap it up and go for a Gulia Q4 veloce ! Hate to be driven by the car, want drive by myself.. I think this might be the last real Alfa. You pulled me over the line with this down-to-earth video. Tx mate
