You ordered the wrong parts. That's your fault. Furthermore most mechanics won't use customers parts because they won't be able to warranty the part if it fails. If your part fails not only is the part not under the warranty of the job, but you'd also have to pay the labor again(since your part failed). They'll usually charge more it you bring your own parts because they make money of the parts too.

Ordered rear bearing..They sent a bearing waaayy off with different part number....They made it extremely difficult to return,even immediately after I received it.. I have a $460 paper weight Go elsewhere...

Crockauto has really gone down hill. They used to have a customer service number. Yeah you could talk to a human. Which was useful when you got fragile parts like coils that were shipped in a plastic envelope and has 2 posts busted off when you get it and a crushed manufacturers box. Now all you can do is continue paying shipping back and forth for the same thing over and over. The people in those warehouses are fkn braindead and need a backhand. 3 replacement coils later and multiple shipping charges later i gave up and bought it from the dealer for the insane markup price. Only reason i was gettin it from the dbags at rock auto was to get the namebrand genuine coil for 120 less. Did no good after paying and repaying shipping cost. If your company fcks up its on you to fix it not continue chargin for shipping if you repeatedly fail to pack an expensive damagable part in anything but an envelope. Then up until recently your choices were fedex and dhl. Well dhl slow af. Could be comin from a city over and still take 10 days. And fedex employees are extreme wastes of oxygen. If it wasnt destroyed before delivery fedex didnt deliver it. Watched those a$$holes deliver my 900 dollar power tool set carrying it to the door stopping about 10 ft from the steps and fling the package at the front door. Denting the shit out of the front door and busting the handle on the sawzall. Even with video they argued with me that the tools were damaged before they were in their possession and that even with the video and the crash when it hit the door the dent could have been from anything. Had to make the seller send replacement tools and made them use ups. Had my truck tires delivered my driveway slopes down to the garage. F"cker slide his door open and rolled them down the step into my driveway slamming into my garage and then all 4 rolled to different areas of my front yard. Where the dick left them and drove off. Never set a foot off his truck. Delivery instructions said please stack in front of garage door thx. Still decided to be a dick and do that. Rockauto usin them is a joke and at this point both should be out of business. Didnt occur to them that amazon stopped usin them for a reason? Gettin more returned/damage claims than anything else.

seems like you didnt double check the parts your specific car needed before buying... sure paying for shipping back sucks, but make sure you have the right part

I've double checked all my rockauto's prices compared to yours and Partsavatar are always higher. I've never got anything wrong from Rockauto. The reason you got the wrong parts is because you ordered the wrong ones.

I dont know, your reviews are not the best. Your retail locations dont allow drop n and pick up. You have to order first. If im wrong let me know. Because I would love to use a Canadian company. But I want to hold the product and examine it before I pay. To many used/returned parts sold as new in this industry.

Just like any online parts retailer it's BEST for repairs you plain on doing yourself, IMO any repairs you need to take to a shop it's best to just have the shop furnish and install then they are responsible not only to install the right part but provide a warranty on BOTH the part and labor. Separate question wasn't NAFTA supposed to do away with added taxes/tariffs across the US/Canada & US/Mexico borders? ..Sounds like your issue should be with your government NOT US parts suppliers.

I am done with ROCK AUTO for ever, by the time I discover I had the wrong parts it was too late, I ended up throwing over $100 in the TRASH. No phone number to call.

I’m done with rock auto. Was a lifelong customer until today. I made a typo on the shipping address, missed a digit. FedEx refused to correct the error due to rock auto policy. Rock auto refused to call and correct, said it’s their policy. I have a customer with a camper broke down on the other side of the country. They are in a motel while the camper is in the shop. I paid for expedited shipping for this reason. They’re basically telling my customer to pound sand, they’ll do nothing for us over a mere typo, to have the parts release. Throwing all of my rock auto magnets in the garbage. I was a life long customer. No more. They’re dead to me.

I ordered the wrong part from RockAuto and they offered to refund me (even though it was my error). Rock Auto does not have free shipping but realistically, nothing is free and they all have to make a margin to survive. It sounds like Parts Avatar is a good outfit.

I had a 65 Pontiac C.S. (Custom sport), It is just like a impala S.S.. Consul badge and other C.S trim is not produced and costly. Most people do not even know about it's existence as a option in Canada. I restored modified my 65 S.S. impala ( built in 64) with it's part's Gave the unneeded body and "trim junk" to a guy who had a fake one. Hope he put it together by now.

Watch out for the parts avatar warranty. If you order something as soon as it's opened even if it's a warranty junk part you can't get money back and you have to pay for the replacement up front then pay the back shipping on the part then they will decide if it's warranty. I found this out on a $850 dodge steering box that went in the trash

I have always found RA to be cheaper... I just now checked PA for a radiator I need for my G8 - OSC brand $275.11+tax =$310.87... RA- OSC brand 187.74 +53.91 shipping and 31.41tx = $273.06! I have ordered from both RA & PA over the last several years and not once had an issue with RA, however, making a core return to PA was a gong show and in the end I didn't meet the "return window" and ended up stuck with the core charge. After this video of false statements against a competitor I'm more inclined to shop Rock Auto.

I have been buying parts there for YEARS . If you are going to be your own parts guy you Also Need to be good at Researching the Specifics for what you need . I always source the OEM with my VIN to get the correct part number First . Then I Rock Auto it . Surprise ! They are Not always the lowest and despite their Jingle says they have “All the parts your car will ever need” That is a Bald Face Lie . You HAVE TO shop Around for the best bargain ALWAYS . There are also times when OEM parts Are the only way to go , Such as sensors and Critical electronic parts and Modules . Common Sense , It ain’t so common anymore .

Sounds like you didn't know what to order. And the problem was you not rockauto. As I have ordered enough parts to rebuild two different vehicles and the only wrong parts I received were due to my mistake not there's.
