I would advise replacing all with TRX7746 if possible or if problems persist after resetting transmitter. Hope this helped someone out as when researching my problem I didn't find this resolution.

Traxxas Xmaxx pinion gear quick fix.

I would use this method everytime. I've never had an issue with the pinion coming loose or the gears being shredded since. if you have a brand-new Xmaxx it's advised to remove the pinion gear before running and apply locktite.

I used a Dremel to cut a grove one end. You could take out one mount and flip over the bar and reinstall without cutting a grove. The issue is if you want to use a smaller battery again it won't be held in enough. With the grove you can remove the bar to use both ways.

Got these without measuring battery tray. They don't fit as they are too tall. You can force in one end of the clip and tape around for added security. I did some heavy landings and several big flips and they didn't come out.
How does it hold up while bashing?
Not had any issues, it still clips in the same way as before, you've just reversed the bracket. It's easily reversible as the part you cut is cheap.
Same thing with my xmaxx. Did you find out what the problem was?

The bearing on the pinion end of motor goes bad often. If you cut a slot in the chassis right below the spur gear it will let dirt and sand out. It might sound crazy but it works.
Did you ever work out the problem? Was it related to the heat sensor
Nope. I checked all the trouble shooting guides and nothing matched up or solved it. I googled and nothing seemed to resolve it. I just gave up and ordered a Max6. I still have it incase I find an answer. It's not the motor as I troubleshooted that and still working now.
Your blx 100 is bad contact horizon hobby to get a new one

Just got Max6 and it's fine now. ESC was goosed
@@BigCheese85 my esc on mine doesn't go into low voltage mode and since I had a decent Wipeout it's been driving at half power on its own even with full batteries. Let me know how that max6 works out
What kinda power and all
Just waiting on a 50T Spur. Max 6 is all installed and set up. It's a common install so it should be good. Wish I had swapped out on day one and sold the stock ESC on.
@@BigCheese85 I'm starting to think the same thing. Xmaxx is supposed to be the best of the best but I'm finding out my arrma notorious 6s is stronger and faster right out of the box. I love my Xmaxx but damn that notorious is a beast.

Thanks. That bearing went on week one of having the car Ha. I replaced them with after market bearings and they have been fine since. Turned out the esc was bad. Swapped out for Hobby Wing and all good.
