"6 speed borg warner heavy duty transmission was chosen" Oh, yeah, you mean the one that came in the Viper? The T56? Sure, they "chose" that.
Why is courtney's belly button showing?
She helped choose the wardrobe. I think she looks pretty good.
@Ned3ddd She sounds way too professional to come across so cheap #respectfully I say this. I just don't want intelligent, beautiful women to be. Showing their belly button for some reason. I don't know why it makes me uncomfortable.../ Judgmental
Belly button? You still say "criss cross apple sauce" as an adult, too? People are strange.
magnifique voiture !!!. WOW! PERFECTION! THE LINES! THE CURVES!...and the cars nice too....
Thank you for watching!
I saw this in the gold "on tour" version when I was a kid.
Absolutely fantastic video
Thank you so much. I just finished filming the new Porsche GT4e-Performance, 1073 hp, all electric, all wheel drive prototype at Watkins Glen in 360º. will be posting as soon as the client approves.

Cool car
chip foose drew the concept for car but troy trepanier built it
I want to destroy that ugly thing
Just... WOW!
This car is a kind of mix between RR and Bugatti
The front end is just stunning… amazing vehicle..
They can't never build a car like that anymore , it's breath takingly beautiful . A work of art on wheels .
When I was a child in the 70’s my father told me that he had bought a round door rolls-Royce back in the early 50’s and his older brother told him to sell that car before he had to replace any body parts because he would never find any. I had never seen a picture or heard anyone talk of the car until today. I can only wonder if the story was true and if this is the car. The car was supposedly purchased and sold in the early to mid 50’s in northern New Jersey. Either way it is an amazing looking automobile.
It had many owners. Hard to believe there was more than one "Round Door" Rolls. I think you had a brush with automotive history.
What a shit, they didnt even manage once to show how the doors are opening??? LOL
As the producer/director of this segment I was not allowed to even touch the car! They would not allow the host to sit in the car. The museum is very strict.
@@Ned3ddd there is a scene with open doors, so why didnt you film the opening of the door? Thats what the hole car is about, sorry.
rolls royce should be brought back with 2020s era tec
I agree.
This is not a car, it's a streamlined masterpiece. A true work of art from the Roaring 20s. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Don’t ever let it fall into the hands of another lunatic again!
Only hands in White Gloves get to touch that jewel. It is a priceless work of automotive art.
When we shot the segment neither Courtney nor I was not allowed to even SIT in the Rolls!
I saw this car in Norfolk at the 1957 Jamestown Exposition. It was painted yellow-gold.
Good memory....I was in first grade.
There is a photo of the Round Door in gold in the segment.
WOW! PERFECTION! THE LINES! THE CURVES!...and the cars nice too...
Courtney was a pleasure to work with.
🙄😊: Okay...but if I owned this auto, I would rebody it to make it more driveable while maintaining a Deco spirit.
Imagine seeing a car like this in 1925. This car is so beautiful
I was not even allowed to sit in it during filming!
34', but still ;)
GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRATE!!!!!!!!! Love drums love hearing them!!!!!
Hard to believe this car sold for $162,000 back in the day. You can get yourself a pretty nice one owner Toyota Camry for that money in 2022.
Do you think The Sniper would sell for over a Million Dollars today?
@@Ned3ddd maybe? But it might be more difficult to sell, Because i feel people are more into stock looking classics these days. Myself included. I think it might have had a better chance if chip left the headlights original or at least more era looking, instead of those dated Mercedes headlights. But i never liked the Mercedes headlight look either. Chip also wanted to do the same mercedes headlight treatment on Christopher Titus's "Once a Knight" 56 Chevy Belair. But Titus refused, and good thing too imo. ☮️ With that said.. i still admire chips Drawing skills, and his building skills.. ive just changed my preferences over the years.
@@privateprivate1865 "with that said" in other words "disregard everything I've said to this point. Don't know why I even said it. I've wasted your time, sucker. I hate humanity."
Just captivating is the appropriate phrase
Thanks for your interest.
@@Ned3ddd have u gone to Pederson museum?
came directly here after the video from ProducerMichael
It was and still is one of the most beautiful cars ever created in my opinion. Though I have to admit that when it comes to Rolls Royce the "Star of India" is my all time favourite. What I keep wondering about with the Round Door Rolls is actually what its' original colour was when it got this body. I have seen several photos but since the oldest ones are black and white I could never figure it out. But regardless off which colour scheme this car is painted in, it is one of those that can wear every colour and will still look great in it. This video was very interesting. Thanks for making it.
I think it was originally White or Cream colored. When I get a chance to get back to the Petersen I will ask the historian. Thanks for your comments. Your interest is appreciated.
It was white.
If I owned that car I would paint the doors yellow and automate those windows while playing Ghostmuncher on a 2000 watt stereo flat out around town.
Wow
I bet it is back in the vault. I will check the next time I am at the museum.
I’d like to see her vault... LOL 😆
Like a GODDESS she deserves the light of day and no commentary.
What a legend ! How high is that beauty woman ?? Or better how low is the sniper ????
Those gams go all the way up!
Another timeless 80's hot rod. Great video and thanks for sharing. I need to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum again. I am long past due. And especially after reading the book: HOT ROD EMPIRE. The bio of Mr. Robert E Petersen !!!! A definite great read for any hot rodder. I am in debt for Mr. Petersen and how he has helped the hot rod community. I am eternally thankful for his contribution to make this world a better place. I just wished that I skipped school to meet him personally. That would have changed the trajectory of my life.
The museum was very cooperative during the production. We got to explore the museum while it was closed and of course toured the "Vault."
creo que me gusta más la presentadora que el auto...Creo!
Gracias...
@@Ned3ddd Ojo... El coche es una obra de arte!
So ugly that it's cool
Wow... the shit...
I don't particularly like the design but it well executed. I would prefer the more regal looking Phantom 1's.
Courtney is a real car gal! She just happens to be very beautiful!
it is a beauty
🤝👌👌👌👍👍👍
Awesome beautiful playing!
It's 'Coupe', not 'Coop' you silly girl! Coop is where chickens live!
Great
Two. LEGENDS.
THE. BEST. FOR. THE. BEST.
My absolute all-time favorite car.
I saw this ridiculous looking RR that was taken around the country in an air conditioned trailer. It had 24 K gold paint then. Still ugly. However with the black paint, it look’s like the monster from the movie of “THE CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON”especially with the fin on the rear deck. Also it hung so long and low to the rear, it was very difficult to drive without damaging the bottom. I think I saw this car over 50 years ago.
Funny, I'd forgotten about the Sniper. Back in '96 my first car was a '54 Plymouth Savoy.
