@DavidMiller-pw1fr Sometimes for sure. I distract myself a lot on purpose. But I also have plenty of quiet time. I try to listen rather than speak over or through people, which means I have had issues with it, and still do at times, making me qualified to point it out. Are you willing to see the same thing in yourself?

Or perhaps you are subscribing your own beliefs and insecurities on to someone else. Often times the person having an affair accuses their partner of infidelity. It is often the case that people with anxiety issues project their insecurities on to other people's perceived intent. The reason Jordan Peterson looks lost in thought when he is listening to people is because he is carefully analyzing what was said, and trying to articulate an answer that is so clear it can not be taken in any other way than the way he intended unless the individual who did take it the wrong way, wanted to take it the wrong way

Also, I do exactly what you you execpt I do not accuse people of doing the exact opposite of what their trained profession is. Peterson is a behavioral psychologist, which means it is his job to not only listen to what is being said but also listen to what is NOT being said. You accuse him of not listening to people while his profession is predicated on listening to people with expert precision. I only listen to people who can articulate a reasonable and thoughtful conclusion. When people say things that can be so easily dismissed, than what they have said will show me exactly what I will receive by listening to them, which in your case isn't very much..

Lastly, I assume the reason you said what you said because it will trigger Peterson supporters to interact with the video, making the algorithm favor your video because of the interaction. I don't actually think you believe what you say, because I don't believe anyone could truly believe something so ass backwards. I have been wrong before, and I will be wrong again..

@DavidMiller-pw1fr I used to spend my time, daily, trying to convince myself and others of the "truth" of something. I figured if I could convince enough people than I could close my mind around whatever it was that I had been thinking (or hoping) was true. Everyone has insecurity. This is more of a hindsight measure rather than me trying to talk it out into real time. I've listened to Peterson for 100s of hours.

@Dat1ScrubLord When Paul spoke in the marketplace, he reasoned with them. They had a shrine to an unknown God and he used what they understood to proclaim the gospel. It was tactful and personal. I don't believe that the shotgun Jesus approach works, I believe it makes him look bite-sized. Christ shouldn't resemble Kellogs Frosted Flakes.

I am comparing, or categorizing, the world and apologetics (of the world). Categories are how we understand things. However, you can't separate classes of understanding.
