I think for Walter what Klei could do is make his slingshot no longer take ammo at all, but instead it will shoot infinite rocks or marbles or something, which each do 25 damage, meaning that he can use it effectively like an infinite boomerang. This is VERY good because he can always get the attention of creatures that need to be provoked before combat, such as koalephants. And also being able to infinitely kill rabbits and birds for free food would be really nice as an option. I could see some crazy Walter tech right now where you wear the feather hat while it's raining and just go out on a bird massacre, because both rain and the feather hat increase bird spawn rates.

I'd like Wurt a lot more, except what's the freaking point of being immune to negative effects from being wet, IF YOU STILL FREEZE TO DEATH?! She's so bad with water in THE WATER SEASON, it's infuriating... PLEASE Klei fix that, and also fix the issue where COMPLETELY DRY CHARACTERS freeze to death for the first 2-3 nights of spring!

I think Maxwell may have needed to read Wickerbottom books before his rework, and as far as I'm aware he's always been able to read Wickerbottom books, the developers just didn't feel like taking out Maxwell's book reading abilities I suppose. I actually like that he can read Wickerbottom's books, because you quickly realize that mass reading is not possible without a bone helmet or literal perfect and immense amounts of sanity food, or you just get overwhelmed by shadows and struggle or even die. I love how he can store a book in his shadow dimension from the Maxwell chest, then Wickerbottom or someone else can then take that book back out of the dimension and put it in a bookcase to refresh its durability at any time.

I believe if Winona were to bring charlie to Wagstaff, hoping he would have a solution, he would instead ignore her pleas. This would cause Winona's image of her boss to shatter and she would then side with charlie. This is all based on my idea that Wagstaff is a self-centered character, only helping others if he can see an outcome that would benefit him.

One thing I believe will be important, in her skill tree unlucky other survivors, Winona's shadow affinity is more related to charlie directly, where is hinted charlie wants her to find her, and you literally revives Winona if she dies holding one of her roses, with what you said about the blacksmith this might be important

I saw a cool theory/speculation that Wolfgang is Slovenian, or has Slovenian heritage. Frog legs are popular in Slovenia, too. The country also had a period where Communism was highly relevant in its politics, and it has both Slavic and Germanic roots. Which explains the Germanic name (Wolfgang).

Charlie actually did have dialogue for Wormwood hidden in the code of Don't Starve Together for a time, like her dialogue for Winona and Maxwell. It's just an ellipses (...) but the very fact that it is there is puzzling.

Personally, I think Charlie tried to grab everyone from the Shipwrecked and Hamlet branches of the constant, but Wormwood and Warly were the only ones who wanted to do so. I could definitely see Walani, Wilbur, Woodlegs, Wilba, and Wheeler all having reasons to stay in their respective worlds, but Wormwood and Warly would both be enticed by the promise of companionship

"fear the wrath of a woman scorn" is how i would describe it, in my headcannon , charlie is playing all sides, when they two sides of herself fuse, the conflict ended in her mind. then charlie deviced a plan to free them and when they show their true colors? well she turn to the survivors yet again, why stop them from helping alter? why not just...let them fight THEM and break the tether, she could keep the power and rule over the nightmares as the sole ruler. i also believe the reason it is much easier for her to control the nightmares is because she was part of them once, she isnt a foreign force dictating rules, she is one of them

Wilson is currently assisting Wagstaff this is great, but it would be better if Wagstaff had all the capable characters like WX78 and Winona helping him, and then the work Wagstaff and Wilson are working on would be done faster, but I think WX 78 won't help Wagstaff through resentment in the past, but I think he will be able to come to terms with it and help Wagstaff, but then he will make a 360-degree move and take all the power of the moon for himself and betray the pitiful organics. It could also be that WX78 will choose the side that will give him powers faster, such as the shadow forces, and then he will make a 360 degree move again, betray Charlie and take all the power for himself. WX78 is not tied to each side, it will choose the side that will be more profitable

I honestly i think that the blacksmith could be the Ancient Fuelweaver. We never see Winona talking with Charlie at all, the only scenes that are shown to us of both of them interacting are when: Wilson, Maxwell and Winona get in the archives right before Charlie and when Winona gets pulled over to the constant. I don't think it's Winona's fault. At Maxwell's rework video we see that when Charlie got into the constant she was sent to the atrium, whe even see Fuelweaver together with Charlie. Maybe Fuelweaver tried to protect Charlie the same way he "tries" to save us in game.

I am kind of upset that no one has done a Wortox lore/theory video yet, he is teuly a monster in my eyes, even moreso than Charlie, Wagstaff, or even Them.

I feel there is so much missed, but I think you got the main points too and introduced a few things I hadn't considered before. One of the main things that irked me, though, is how you referred to Them only as the shadow entity from the gateway. Alter is also likely to be one of Them as evidenced by various quotes by a number of the survivors, especially Maxwell. Another thing that irked me is how you referred to the mirror and the gate as one and the same while I do not see it that way. My source for this is how the Survivors have traveled through the Ancient Gateway at some point to try to escape, thus ending up in the world of the Forge and the Gorge, possibly elsewhere, too, granted, no other places have been revealed. If the Ancient Gateway is the mirror and the mirror is Them, it does not make much sense for the Survivors to enter Them and go somewhere seemingly unrelated. Instead, I loosely believe that the Ancient Gateway can lead to Them in some capacity.

For Wendy my least favorite thing is that Abigail can't attack the shadow monsters but she still has her damage penalty. Favorite thing is spider farming with Abby

I think it is not accurate that "Charlie was betrayed by the shadows". They did not laugh at her, she was not mad because they laughed at her. She was mad, because her repairs weren't enough to "make Them whole" again, as the eye of Them had disappeared. That is why, in-game, she is extremely happy that we helped her repair the Ancient Gateway. You have showed the video from Klei Entertainment "From Below", but you did not show, how she, at the end of the video, starts manipulating and persuading Maxwell into cooperation. Why? Because he has the Codex Umbra. Not because she wants revenge. Because the Codex and Maxwell's powers and cooperation are needed to make "Them" whole again.

i would actually put webber with wagstaff. in his short we see that wagstaff gave webber's father the spider that turned him into the spider boy he is today. so if he was wanting to turn back to normal, he would find wagstaff who most likely has some sort of information on how to turn him back.

I think the option to align with neither should also be available, at least for the story itself. Plenty of these people are like Wolfgang, and have no real reason to side with anyone, he might help wagstaff but he’s most likely just going to choose whoever his nearest human friend is at any given time. He’d just help the survivors at all times.

I always thought WX would side with the shadows (but probably not charlie) because of the clockworks and the power it offers, and also out of their hatred for wagstaff. BUT I also dont really play WX and looking at your evidence youre probably right lol. WX would pull the exact same kinda shit as wagstaff trying to take control of the moon as a wigfrid main I kind of figured she would actually side with charlie/the shadows BECAUSE of her draw toward the dramatic. I think she revels in the roses and the stages and the gothic emo shit charlie offers. BUT i also see your reasoning w/ wigfrid not wanting to side with the shadows out of principle. also, wigfrid notably dislikes "ambush predators" (theres a better word im sure but I cant think of any rn) like the table thing, depth worms, snakes, monkeys etc. etc. she generally prefers to fight with honor and glory which is definitely NOT offered in a sneaky faction like the shadows. .......so, in conclusion, youre probably right about wigfrid lol
