After researching Maton guitars for more than a year, I purchased an SRS70C this past week. I am 90% thrilled with it. All the good things include; incredible tone. Great playability. And the incredible AP5 Pro pickup system . Wonderful. The downside is the finish. It is described as Satin. To me satin is shiny. This is actually, in my opinion, Matte. It makes the guitar look cheap. At $2,200 it shouldn’t look cheap. I won’t send it back because I love everything also about it. But Maton should reconsider its decision finish.

This is one of the most versatile overdrive pedals out there. The Trimode is great too. It has one downside: It isn't 9V. The best way to use it is to push the front of a tube amp and not rely on it totally for your overdrive. It has a lot on "mid hump" in a lot of settings, so don't be afraid to max out the "high" and "low" dials to get a less boxy sound. Like a lot of overdrive pedals, the trick is not to lose the bass when overdriving the amp.

Had this for 10 yrs with my AxeFx as expression pedal. Only thing that’s annoying is that the on/off led lights only work if u use a 9V or associated 9V adapter. It’s phantom powered by my fractal MFC101 but that power won’t control the lights . Annoying

Great demo, despite being old. I have the Clean Booster. The effect is sort of an exciter, in addition to boosting the volume. The change is subtle but beautiful. It also really livens up a jazz box guitar.

6 years later, I'm going to add that this guitar is the right kind of "cheap" sound for a fingerstyle blues box. I was looking at M120's but they might sound a little to "polite" for porch blues.
