Lovely video! this helped me so much. simplicity is key to getting started with this. I had to go right to my keyboard to try this. and what I found myself doing was actually improvising along with you by just sliding a couple octaves above you and doing the same thing. Sounded great!

For those who are trying to understand how your scale works; here are my thoughts: Eb is the relative minor of Gb. This means it contains exactly the same notes as Gb(F#) and shares the same Pentatonic scale, although it starts at Eb (the 6th (making it the Aeolian of Gb)) instead of Gb. By adding the F, you are introducing the major 7th to the Gb Pentatonic. However in Eb, it is the *_2nd_* degree of the scale instead of the 7th in Gb. You have created a lovely sound by adding it! Thanks for that Rob! Separating left and right has been a challenge for a couple of years. The tapping and singing I feel must be helping.. but to stop the left hand joining in with the right is damn near impossible!! Even if I shout abuse at my left, it still refuses to listen to me!
