Excellent!!! As a 61 year old Yondan instructor I find the unfolding journey of children incredible and a blessing.
Gracias por tu trabajo, transmite motivación a tope. Espero que hayas conseguido tu objetivo.💪🏻🙇♂️
Oddly enough you will NEVER be wearing a GI when you are attacked/defending yourself from a attacker. This (GI thing) doesn't work anymore along with the Martial artists NEVER conduct (scenerio training) OUTSIDE the (Dojo/classroom/controlled environment) in a (Field/Urban environment) where WAR is conducted. Very saddening. Art of War/Mars is of No rules, Kill or be Killed during a war environment.
At 5:40, Sensei Swain perfectly explained the essence of Budo.
amazing! you should consider updating this one with images made in midjourney and animated in haiper , it could be so cool

WTF is this shit. Nice mawashi geri at the beginning but useless if doesn't makes contact as you have no idea if would have been effective. Not saying Kyokushin is the answer but meet half way Shoto guys. No wonder no longer in the Olympics anymore. Was a demonstration sport in Tokyo and it proved no one really wanted to watch dancing.
Where is his dojo at?
1:56 oldest standing summer stock theater in U.S. 2:42 Mary's ghost 😉
This sensei gets it. Much respect.
Not bad
Holy crap, the referee was my shotokan sensei when I was a kid
So tell me, how do you teach a supposed martial art without teaching violence? I was taught by the JKA in Japan and certified to teach under the ISKF. All the while I was learning of Okinawan karate and I enthusiastically left the ISKF, the JKA, the AAKF, and the JKA US simply because they have corrupted karate to the point that it is not karate at all. The Okinawan karate community calls this kyogi te, false karate.
However, it is better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war...
I am a 2'dan on Shito-ryu and a 6'dan on Uechi-ryu, but I admire and respect Shotokan so much. Humility is the way of the warrior.
excellent shots!
Good job - haunting sound track!
Hello I really enjoy this and will be sure to share
Very nice talk. Great Shotokan instructor.
Great Story and who knew that Funakoshi was a CATman too!
Karate is amazing. You are starting to see these guys come into Mma and doing a good job.
I enjoyed listening to him and his perspective on Karate. I share the same mindset and try to educate people when they ask me why I train Karate.
This guy is a P.O.S. (Director David Liban.) He is too busy making movies for his kid to help students at the film school he runs. I had to drop out of my bachelors because he refused to help me with issues I had with teachers at the school. He just kept sending me cut and paste emails. When I called him on it he told the school I threatened his family and had me kicked out of CU.
This is my favorite video for motivation. I am a 1st degree black belt in taekwondo going for my 2nd degree. I've been seeing this video when I was recommended black belt. It reminds me where I am at and where I want to go. Everything your sensei said is true. Thank you.
Very funny story from master Okazaki. I'm pleasantly surprised to learn that master Funakoshi had a cat.
I really enjoyed this movie. The layers just started to peel away exposing the story. Loved the ending and sacrifice. It’s like The Walking Dead with kids. All the kids did a great job in the movie, especially the main boy. As a side note, I noticed the kids aged throughout the film. So when it said six months later, I believed it. Well done!!!
Gostei Professor desse ensinamento, da explicação, dessa aula sua de Karatê! Oss
RIP sensei
I hate to be a douche or a hater but karate is so soft and ridiculous. Anyone who trains for just two years in boxing or Muay Thai can destroy most black belts in karate. I don't understand this blindspot karate students have when it comes to their training and how ill-prepared their training is for self-defense.
I just joined the Australian martial arts academy and absolutely love it
hi baby
Oss.👍👍
Great performance!
An amazing man, Rest In Peace Sensei
Cool movie.
Le podrian poner subtitulos?
Great video. Great Sensei.
Wow, just wow!!! Great stuff!
Thanks, wise words and good honest sensei.
Oh how I loved making this! Dave, thanks for the memories!!😀
Nice mawashi geri
RIP Sensei. You gave me my shodan test and I was fortunate to train with you many times.
He would come to my little hometown in the middle of nowhere to administer exams to a little club of 60 or so members. Only just learned of his passing today :(
Me also...1989. Also Ni-Dan-1993. Got to train with him and Sensei Golden many times at Ohio State/Columbus OH.
I still have respect and miss Shotokan and my sensei from the early 2000s
AWESOME!!
Yep, reminded me a little of the book, spooky!
