Thanks for watching! I felt very safe in Switzerland, however in any country I always exercise safety precautions. Here are my recommendations: Make sure to keep your passport, credit cards or bills in a front jacket pocket or crossbody bag, instead of in a backpack. Research neighborhoods to find hotels that are in safe areas. Also give a copy of your itinerary to a trusted family member or friend to let them know where you're going and staying in case of emergencies, and lastly, return to your hotel at a reasonable time when traveling alone. Did you feel safe out there as a solo traveler ?
Yes! I felt very safe and comfortable as a solo traveler in Switzerland. I'd definitely go back. And to be honest, I felt safer out there than some cities I've been to where I'm from in the U.S. The 4 places I mentioned in the video are very calm. Zurich and Geneva have more varied areas and nightlife, but my best tip is to make sure your hotels are centrally located. I always do research on the reviews of a hotel as well as the location to make sure they're in good neighborhoods. Thanks so much for watching!

@@persephie6107 Early September was a great time to visit! There were less crowds and it was a bit less expensive too. I had sunny weather throughout except for one day of rain.
Pretty good. There tends to be tourist outposts in the Swiss train stations which can be emailed from overseas prior to a visit. Their intel/knowledge should be tapped prior to a Swiss visit.

Hi Nathalie, i am planning on making a tour similar to youra in Switzerland aa my first solo trip. Would you recommend this for a girl that can get quite anxious about transportation etc.?
Thank you for watching! I recommend getting a Swiss Travel Pass for the trains, it will save you a lot on spending. Many people in Switzerland speak English and are happy to help if you have questions about the transport in the moment. I also downloaded google maps to my phone to find my way around the cities. Overall, I also felt Switzerland was a very safe country. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

We are planning a trip to Switzerland and your vlog is very helpful! Thank you. Did you travel with a group of other tourists or you booked everything by yourself? We are conflicted between joining a group tour versus organizing the trip ourselves.
Thanks so much for watching! I traveled alone and booked package hotel+airfare through a company called Tripmasters. I did book one bike tour through Viatour that put me in a group for a day. I found it was more cost effective to book everything on my own than to join a guided tour of the country. I also recommend getting the Swiss Travel Pass for trains, it saves you a lot on spending.
