An inverted flag is a distress signal only in the most liberal use of the term distress. An invberted flag means "The fort has fallen! The enemy is inside our fort! The only thing he could've done was to tell security that he had a weird feeling about them. Maybe they would have checked them out through a database to see if there were red flags. But on a side note, its amazing cockpit doors weren't always locked. It's not as if there hadn't been planes that were hijacked prior.

It's great to be excited about new research. Passion is key in science. But you should really avoid making such bold claims that are just pure speculation. The constant bombardment about groundbreaking discoveries that turn out to be nothing special is contributing to the loss of trust towards science from the general public. In this case, the functions of the gene are not even known yet, this research is nowhere near to find any cure for any disease.

I was there. Some of the comments are saying it was the promoters fault. It kind of was but not really. I was there the wires were pretty high and he went to high. He was trying to compete with another monster truck and do better then the othe one did then the incident happened. Hopefully they learn there lesson. And also maybe look at the wires next time.
