    This is the first video on YT that I've watched on grooming a cocker that doesn't give tips, instruction and why, oh why do you completely remove her top knot?! If this is owner's preference, then please explain that this is not how a cocker head is usually (almost never) preferred. You are good at what you do though! Truly.it's just not explained. So, I hope people watch other, more in depth videos before doing what is comfortable for them

    You may have thought it amateurish. Best I've seen- you "show" hpw to do it and don't get in the way of the actual clipping! I've a very reactive hyper schnauzer of 10 months. We at home try to groom him as the professional groomers can't/dont want to and we've wasted money on two partial groomings but paid full price! ... so Sunny is a "one-of-a-kind" looking schnauzer. I wish you lived near me!!! Surprise, Arizona. Thanks for sharing!!

    SO helpful, I admire your patients, I have a new Schnoodle, she is now 3 months old. The breeder works with her puppies, so she is pretty good on the table so far. The breeder ( Cathy Grandstaff, Windy Hill Kennel of Ohio ) gave her a Schnauzer cut, on my request, OMG she looked so cute, I cried when I saw her. I have scooped out her eyes, and cleaned up her sanitary area, but tomorrow is her full cut. So I will watch your video again. Thank You so much. It is wonderful for people like you to share your experience with the rest of us.

    Not afraid to get in with that shaver, right? It's either summer, or because of matting. Really short. There was a Pet Co in Ankeny, IA, and this little Shi Tzu was buzz shaved practically down to the skin. The hair was already shaved down when it got started. I asked about it, and they said the owner took it in every few weeks. Poor little think cried the whole time. It was a little Shi Tzu. And it was winter there. Just wanted to hold her and comfort her. Wonder if she was even ever loved.

    He is such a good boy! Nice groom. We have two standard schnauzers. They are ten now. I have been grooming them for a year. They look terrible!! Compared to the professional cuts they have always had. So I’m watching more videos! Thanks for talking about shampoos and tools! I ordered that shampoo. I have always used Orvus on our animals. I love it . Really conditions and brightens their coat. But I’m up for something new. Thanks again.

    Nice to watch a professional work. I've been trimming my 13 yo schnauzer since she was a pup and we just got a new schnauzer pup who is now 11 weeks. Hope I didn't wait too long getting her used to the clippers, she's more feisty than our older dog. It's a little cold to give her a full clip but I was going to do a little something to get her used to the clippers. Oh and I have clipper envy!! Thanks for the video!

    How hard are you pushing when using the clippers? My puppy experienced being choked at the groomer I took him to. So I am trying to learn how to groom him because he is my life. I would never ever hurt any animals at all. I have standard poodles, tea cups and my Jeb. I never imagined this would happen to him.

    • @groomerkt1839
      @groomerkt1839 Před rokem

      I'm so sorry this happened to you. Just awful. If your blades are sharp, there should be no need to press hard. Always go with the grain of the coat when clipping, you can also hold the blade at a slight angle. Also, back brush to lift any loose hairs and repeat clipping until it's a smooth cut.

    Doesn't look like a Wheaten Terrier. Didn't look like one at the beginning; nor at the end either. I guess, everyone can trim their wheaten the way want. But cutting off the Fau over the eyes, and the abomination done to the tail, is going a bit too far. It is a sin. When people don't like how a Wheaten Terrier should look, they should not own one.

    • @markbowman7891
      @markbowman7891 Před rokem

      Boy oh boy do I agree with this comment. Although my first Wheaten was not a show dog, I always maintained the Wheaten look. Now I've got a retired Champion and although I'm not as good as the handler I've paid top groomers for lessons. You're so right on, why get a Wheaten if you're going to take the fau and beard. And why clip them short for summer when the coat is designed to keep them cool. Oh well.....

    • @benj8682
      @benj8682 Před 8 měsíci

      Purely your opinion on fashion . This dog looks great. The Fau over the eyes is something done purely for humans vanity. Letting the dogs see clearly is an act of caring for the animal. Also, look at pictures of the Wheatons who were the original Irish farm dog. None of Fau fashion there! So keep to yourself your opinion on who should and should not own one!

    • @rupchand2177
      @rupchand2177 Před 8 měsíci

      @@benj8682 You are so wrong here. Having a Fau is the natural state of the dog breed. Cutting it off is artificial. Besides, the Fau does not prevent the dog from seeing clearly. That is because the eye area is always cleared of Fau hair. You should learn a bit about the grooming of a Wheaten before you make stupid comments. Also, original Irish farm dogs which are Wheatens all have hair that is not trimmed. They are left n the natural state, because they are not groomed like home pets are.

    • @rupchand2177
      @rupchand2177 Před 8 měsíci

      @@markbowman7891 You are right about clipping the hair very short in summer. Wheatens do not have skin pigment (not sure about other breeds), and very short hair in summer can cause serious sun burn if they are exposed to sun for lengthy period.
