JULY 22 update:******* From the developer: Looks like the approval process is finally in a good spot, I just uploaded a video to apple on how to pair moonlight and sunshine, so fingers crossed that the testflight will get approved really soon!

July 21 UPDATE (from the developer) ko-fi.com/lumanaire/posts 8 am: I separated the vision os 2 controller support interaction code from the vision os 1.2 code to improve compatibility as is required by apple. 10 am: it seems like there's an issue with initialization of certificates, in some instances, especially when using an old version, the certificate would ALWAYS fail causing pairing issues. Working on fixing this 6 pm: Okay I put an entire day into it, I submitted a version to apple for verification, as stated earlier, to just get things going, I'm submitting the 1.2 version ONLY right now, and will add the 2.0 improvements in an update to the testflight at a later time, I really just want something, anything at all, approved before the other one expires. _______________

July 16, 2024 UPDATE **** Please note that the Moonlight Vision App is broken and the developer has apparently stopped actively working on it. However, another developer has updated the app and has submitted it to Apple for approval on TestFlight. Hopefully we can all start enjoying this wonderful app again real soon. For anyone looking to read up on the new developer, look up RikuDesu on Reddit (AKA 'Lumanaire' on Ko-Fi) and perhaps even support them for all the time and effort in bringing the app back. Once the new/updated version of Moonlight Vision is available on TestFlight, I will have the link here. *** July 17 - UPDATE - from the developer: "I cleaned up some extra settings. Apple is requiring it also work with visionOS 1.2 and build it on the release Xcode public build despite it having features that are only available for visionOS 2 as well as being marked for a minimum deployment of visionOS 2 so I'm going to try to release a TestFlight that has broken Controller support for vision OS because it seems that might be the only way to do it before the official launch of vision OS 2."

JULY 19 - UPDATE: I was able to get the new app to work, while we wait for the TestFlight. You will need a Mac and to register as an Apple developer (no need to pay for anything). It took some trial and error for a novice like me, but with some persistence, I got it to work. If you have a Mac (M-series chip), get XCode and follow the instructions exactly as described by the developer. It's quite satisfying to get this to install on your Vision Pro through Xcode on your Mac and it works great! Every time I try to open the app it crashes immediately and I get an error message « Moonlight VisionOS Preview » has closed. I tried to reinstall a few times but I still get the error! Could it be because I’m in France?
