    I have multiple tables I have saved with the standards for the AF 20m HAMR shuttle test. But they have discrepancies. In one the times per shuttle for level one is 9 seconds, for level two is 8 seconds, for level three 7.58 seconds, for level four it is 7.2 seconds. But in the other table I have it says: 8.9, 8.1, 7.6, and 7.3 seconds respectively. I could not figure out from google which table represents the most up-to-date version of the test. Which one is more accurate? How can I find the latest standards?

    The fact that there is no waist to height ratio consideration proves that the Air Force truly wants to downsize to Pilot size to cockpit size. Gone are the days that you'd see these Flightline beasts ripping through their uniforms because of all the weights they were lifting at night and on weekends after work. Mighty air force no more. Size small military branch

    Screw this test i can pass the test by lifting running and the inbetween as long as i can pass the physical test theres no point to getting taped "obesity crisis" my butt my arms and legs are skinny but god save the queen if my belly pokes out kick rocks

    If you fail one shuttle, as in a beep goes off before you get to the end, can you wait out a second beep and make it before the third? Not trying to be scummy but it makes no sense to have 3 warnings if you can't use them to avoid getting caught up in being stuck behind.

      If you miss a shuttle, like miss a line before the beef, you have to try and turn and catch up to the next line before the next beep (so basically sprint with everything you have to try and catch up). And if you can’t before 3 beeps you’re done

    Is the test completed if you miss a beep and wait for the next one to complete the next shuttle? It doesn't say anywhere that you can't miss a beep and then wait for the next one

      You must attempt every shuttle and can't take a break in between beeps. If you fail to attempt a shuttle your test is terminated and your last successful shuttle count will be your final score.

    If you take off early on two consecutive shuttles to get a break and then successfully complete a shuttle, can this be done repeatedly without the test being terminated? Just the Survivor, playing around the rules, thinking.

      I’m not sure whether or not that works but you also have to think about the fact that that wasted 2 times where you could’ve needed it so it would be a trade off

      Boo hoo, running a mile and a half is also easier for people with longer legs as they can take longer strides. There are advantages and disadvantages for every exercise depending on your stature.

    It’s harder than regular push ups I will never do it again . Even though you have two minutes to complete compared to 1 minute

      Depends, it's easier for me because I have had shoulder surgery and never got back to 100% and it gives a break from holding up my full body weight

    They are still fat..doesn't fix a thing.. lets look at what the VA has down as the biggest health issues causing billions of dollars in claims: PTSD for doing their job. Clearly not mentally fit.. obesity: leads to or continues unhealthy life styles, alcohol and drugs: sociopaths.

    Maybe im doing the air force thing of over thinking it but, the video does not say what is considered 1 shuttle... is a shuttle running from one end to the other? Is a shuttle running from one end to the other and back? Is a shuttle each 20 meter run or is each 40 meters...

    Please don't do the sit-ups like the woman in the video, you'll get burnt out fast. AFI states you can touch anywhere on your thighs. Go for your lower thighs so it's more like a crunch than a full sit-up, you'll get more reps in that way!

    Are russian twists a good way to build core strength or should i stick with planks and sit-ups?

      Russian Twist do work the core, but only the outside of your abs. It doesn’t really engage the muscles necessary to do sit-ups. I told my supervisor that I was doing “Russian twist” during my workouts to prepare for my previous PT test and he basically told me to scrap it 😂 he said something along the lines of “Do Russian Twist if you wanna look good and Sit-ups if you want results, but for now we’re worried about results so after you pass focus on looking good”
