Hi there, thanks for checking out my channel. When I was growing up, my grandfather was the biggest and best fisherman that I knew. Unfortunately, he passed away when I was really young, and my grandmother gave me all his fishing gear. Needless to say, I fell in love with fishing after that. I was pretty much a self-taught fisherman that loved always reading articles and trying out new ways to catch fish. Back when I was 20 years old, I learned how to muskie fish from the Leopardi family. Todd Leopardi makes fine cedar muskie lures in Ellwood city, PA that are sold all over the US. You will tend to find me hanging out with all my buddies that love fishing too!

We had some insane action trolling for fall Ohio musky using Leo lures. We were shallow trolling the lures high in the water column using Shayla Shads and Mojoes. The hot color was D's perch. @jamesathendune9026 Thanks so much for subscribing. I'll bet Lake of the Woods has some amazing fish. It's funny, I used this same setup when I was younger, fishing for King Mackerel off of the piers in North Carolina. We used two rods. A spinning rod as an anchor line with a shower curtain hook, and a bait caster with a rubber band, and a live bluefish. It worked great too.
I’ve been fishing that area pretty heavy on my kayak lately. It’s definitely a good smallmouth river. How’s the catfishing there?
@@Steaksauce91 I would imagine good especially in the pools below the dams if you could get there. I would love to try that with cut bait. I lost a monster from shore about 20 years ago.

How fast are you trolling? seems pretty fast at what speed your using how far back is the lures 25ft?
@psu4life2000 Usually, 4.1 to 5.5 MPH depending on wind, water temps, and lures that you're using. Yep, typically 20-25 feet back. Big bodies of water you would run them out and back alot further usually.

I always wondered about fishing the Beaver River. That 3" hellgrammite was getting attacked. Then the swim tail. That was a nice fish that jumped free, earlier. Doesn't that fish know the pressure of creating youtube content?! haha. Really good number of fish, overall, without covering a ton of water. Great job.
@YFAwithTodd Hey, thanks for watching Todd. There are some nice ones in there, especially closer to the dams. Just tough getting close to the dam. Haha. Water was a little murky but once it clears it will be even better. Funny those little ones were chowing down on that 3" and 4" baits. Thanks again.

@jasonchavis6414 I myself use the GoPro Quick App on my I-Phone it allows me to control multiple cameras right on my phone. If you do not have the Quick App on your phone, you can either pick up a wireless remote gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/the-remote/ARMTE-003.html Or set your back camera to accept voice commands.
My question is on the Kayak when you run it continuously do you record all day and the videos break up in five minute sections maybe. I’m at external battery firmware update. If you wanna run the regular GoPro battery will it still work with that firmware setting?
@jasonchavis6414 Thanks for your questions. You will have to stop your cameras periodically when running continuous power. I stop mine every hour, because if not then the files will be too big to open. I also stop them sometimes when I catch a fish, so the footage is easier to find. I run a 256 GB SD card, so I can get 8 hours + recording time on 1080P. With the firmware setting you can still run batteries or external power. You will have to be careful with future firmware updates as sometimes they will wipe out your continuous addon and you will have to reinstall it.
So I have a question for you. Do you ever run into heat issues where the camera cuts off due to heat? I use mine for recording baseball games. I had to put a 3D printed house-looking thing with built-in fan to keep it from cutting off on hot summer days.
Thanks for your question. That’s a pretty cool idea. In Pennsylvania I have not ran into any heat problems yet, and I run them on average for 8 hours on a trip. I could not vouch for somewhere like Florida where the temperatures are allot higher. If someone runs this setup down south and would like to add their experiences with the 3BR housing, then that would be great!
i have heard it overheats due to internal battery.. if u are running external battery it does not overheat. i'm not sure this is true but this is what i heard watching other videos.
@@miamiwax5504 I ran two today 94 degrees and miserable with no wind. I had one of the two overheat after 6 hours or so run time. I shut it off for an hour and then ran it for a few more hours before quitting. That’s the first time I had an issue but I could see it being a problem for longer filming in hotter temperatures.
