Just a guy who loves video games. My goal is to harken back to a simpler time of CZcams. When videos were made with passion instead of high-tech equipment and sponsors.
I mostly focus on combat sports and fighting games, but sometimes delve into the odd 8-bit JRPG, because I'm weird.
Also because, who the heck says that Shining Force and Pride FC don't have overlapping fanbases?
So sit down, have a drink, enjoy my videos, and say "Hi" to Christopher Walken.

In memory and celebration of one of the greatest creative minds of our time, Akira Toriyama, I decided to take a not-so-quick look at one of the best attempts to adapt his work into interactive media. Does it still hold up? Yes. It does.

The best boxing game Is Boxer Road 2 the real for the psp
I absolutely agree with that statement. Shame that such a masterpiece never left Japan. I'd love to see it get a remaster at some point. Lets get that on modern consoles, with online.
@@nicksrandomreviews yeah a 60 FPS version would be enough for me, and maybe with some advice on training and diets hahaha
lol…is anyone gonna tell him that there’s two more difficulties after hard 😂
Goose Howard is not impressed.
Superb video! Looking forward to watching your other reviews :D
Bro your thumbnail is SICK!!!!!
Ngl alot of your bad points about the game is just because youre bad at the game bro lol. You didnt know how the heavy bag game worked at all and all you had to do watch match the EA patch on the refs shit shits easy as hell.... and the total punch control is a choice so i mean thats valid im not trying to hater bro i just noticed alot of misinformation in the video cut stoppages happen. and the reason why your punch dont come out right is because youre thowring feints not punches.
The game should really do a much better job explaining those things. Later games did. Round 2 isn't that functionally different from 2004, it just explains things far more concisely.
@@nicksrandomreviews I agree they should but tbf they had manuals back then to look at if they didn’t know stuff and I remember vividly this game having videos the punching mini games didn’t have those kinda a figure it out or get the manual. With the heavy bag game they reward you for swinging the bag so say you throw a right hook you should throw a left to swing it the other way you get combo and max swing bonuses for it basically you gotta be looking like captain America to get points. But I agree they should’ve explained better
yea
Izzy predicts your movement and aims at where you’re going to be U did the opposite today
Did his leg ricochet off the guys head? Are you fighting in the Shadow Relm?
Dana White about to send my guy's career to the fucking Shadow Realm.
DQ and a 6 month sentence.
Even though you dropped the game you still did a pretty good review and be positive about it. FE3 is much better but it's still very hard.
You get the gist of FE pretty early on, especially with early games in the series. That gist is: "Intelligent Systems hates you, and wants you to absolutely know, so here's the most spiteful game we could ever make. Enjoy." If Fire Emblem were a person, it would work at the DMV.
This deserved way more views.. its amazing man.
I am so angry that I discovered this video 2 years later... this is a masterpiece.
I also love this game and I bought a used ps3 just to play it. Its amazing.
I feel I could have been a bit more energetic in this one. I might redo it at some point.
To get up you have to match the ea logos one at a time
UFC 1 rules over any other UFC game in every department. Especially in graphics and brutality. Every attack has weight and speed. With every new UFC game they went backwards.
Stoppage due to cuts does happen. I played it for months. I think jabs never KOs and makes a stoppage. But just keep hammering the cut and it will stop. Maybe it is in the options
I learned much too late that they do happen, just not nearly as often as in later games in the series. Probably going to have to do a video on all the things I get wrong in my reviews.
This is one of the best videos I have ever watcher
32:00 - 32:29

what on earth? whats up? haha.
Just wow. What did I just hear?
The synopsis for Michael Bay's next blockbuster.
wait until you face a boss battle, simply auto attacking won’t do anything. also why get the game if you know you’re not gonna like it and then shit on people who do?
I'm 15 hours in. I've seen plenty of boss fights. They're the same shit.
@@nicksrandomreviews it gets harder. trust me
Fight Night 2004 allows you to use lateral movement to actually turn your opponent like in real life. For instance, if you move laterally circling away from a punch, your opponent will miss with their straight punches, or uppercuts. When you throw a punch, your fighter will have to plant his feet for a split second, even if they are jabbing, and they cannot move while blocking at the same time. Also, when you move laaterally, but your opponent stands stationary, their feet will actually move to adjust instead of just magically sliding in place like in Fight Night Champion, or Fight Night Round 4. Basically, the footwork is more realistic in a boxing game made back in 2004 than any boxing game that has come after it. Fight Night Round 3 is also pretty realistic in a similar way, but I still don't think it's better than FN 2004 overall. Round 4 is a great game as well, but unless you play it on an emulator, it doesn't have a button option for punch controls out of the box. They patched it after it was first released and added button controls for consoles, but the servers have been down for a long time now. Fight Night Champion is probably the best Fight Night game as far as an overall simulation, but I have come to prefer FN 2004 a little bit more personally.
Out of the three I've played so far, I would say 2004 definitely has the best movement in terms of realism. I think Round 2's is a bit chunkier. It feels like I'm piloting my boxer like the goddamn Megazord. Which fuels my theory that Lennox Lewis is in fact being controlled by five teenagers in colour coded spandex. Round 3 is the best movement in his it feels. Yeah, it is the least realistic, which means that it kind of fails at what it set out to do, accurately depict the sport of boxing, but it feels more natural and intuitive. It feels more game-y, for lack of a better term. It isn't factually correct, but it just flows a bit better. 4 is...oh god. Spoilers for my Round 4 review, but I don't like much about 4. It just feels gross to play. Champion is clunky, right back to feeling like I'm piloting a mech, but everything else is so good, that I can sort of overlook that.
what is your shirt of?

Great video
This video aged well as a report came out on Twitter yesterday saying EA will reveal a Fight Night game this year, I don’t know how true it is but bruh EA needs to stop playing and give us another boxing game it’s been way too long.
If EA puts out a new Fight Night, I will slap the guy that does my music. That's how confident I am that we'll never get another Fight Night.
It's good to see Cut Man getting some work.
I mean, Capcom isn't returning his calls. Although, I did hear he auditioned for Mighty No.9's sequel. He didn't get the part though. Went home crying like an anime fan on prom night.
this game isn't even that good, ever heard of Hajime no Ippo 2: Victorious Road? or maybe Boxer's Road 2?
Yes. And we'll get to them eventually.
@@nicksrandomreviews oh alright cool, also sorry if i sounded rude/disrespectful, i wasn't paying much attention
Hope the rest of your year goes fine my boy. Keep ya head up and review Boxers Road 2 👀

The BT4 mod is SO FUCKING GOOD! I too still play this game nowadays, just my computer is too potato to record PCSX2.
This game is technical as shit, have you seen COMPETITIVE BT3?
It is crazy technical. High level BT3 is absolutely nuts.
Fight night 2004 is my favorite boxing game on the ps2
Try out victorious boxers 2 it's also good
Victorious Boxers 2 is a goddamn masterpiece. I want that shit up in the Leuvre.
but you cant win another title belt in career mode 😢😢😢
This guy dresses up as Lord of the rings and hobbits for Halloween...but sports games all suck😂😂😂😂
I mean, yes, but also yes.
Well I've ordered my copy for 3.50 British Pounds and if it occupies me for one evening then that's worth the money. And after all it's not a common game so it may go up in price.
I played all the FN games growing up and recently replayed most of them. I felt like in the PS2 era 2004 had the best gameplay and weight to the punches, but the mini-game for getting up from knockdowns was a game breaker for me. I thought Round 2 was a lot faster paced and the AI’s abuse of the parry system totally ruins career mode on higher difficulties once you start breaking into the top 15. Round 3’s career mode had a lot more to it, but the punches have absolutely no weight behind them, and the parry issue is still there though nowhere near as bad as Round 2. Some people say Round 4 is the best game, though this seems to be a purists opinion. I couldn’t say as I haven’t played it since release. I will add that I was disappointed when replaying Champion. The footwork is atrocious and fights often feel like you’re limited to fighting on the outside or a war or attrition on the inside. It feels like there’s very little middle-ground in terms of fighting style. UFC Undisputed 3 is still my go to combat sports game. The Pride FC game with the Grand Prix is also a pretty fun game, though it’s very bare bones and you can see everything it has to offer in half an hour.
I found 2004 and Round 2's AI both abuse the hell out of parries, but Round 2 is way worse for it. I almost feel like that's a thing EA has never really gotten right, because even in the first two UFC games the AI abuses parries like the wife of a drunken factory worker. With Round 3, I've weirdly only played the PSP version, and it's really solid, but I doubt it's as robust as the main versions. I'm looking forward to reviewing 3, as I've heard good things about it. It'll also be the first one reviewed on original hardware, so there's that. I have never played Round 4, but Champion is good. It's chunky and slow, but I like it well enough. I do agree with the footwork not being that great. Even lower weight classes feel sluggish in it.
The GameCube was a super underrated console
It's honestly my second favourite console of all time. It has some legit gems, many of which never left it. I would give someone else's left nut for a remaster of Custom Robo.
@@nicksrandomreviews oh my god😭😭😭😭😭 it’s literally my favorite game on the console💯🤣💯😭💯🤣💯😭😭🤣

It looks like Gollum decided to hit the gym.
Can’t wait for your opinions on round 3 not only is it my favorite boxing game but my favorite game of all time
I'm looking forward to it. I know it was a technical marvel at the time of release, and as someone mentally stuck in 2006 (if my videos weren't a dead giveaway), I'm going into it with that mindset.
