The Yamaha sk20 had a dry bar organ along with a simple synthesizer plus a string ensemble section which was a direct copy of the Solina... Rather than having the typical chorus button for sound modification it had an ensemble button which is easily recognizable as something between a chorus and a Leslie, there was even a slow and a fast setting for this and it emulated something of the sound of a Leslie speaker...

Bardzo uboga ta demonstracja.Używałem jej w zespole i naprawdę może o wiele więcej,zwłaszcza w kombinacjach prawej strony do lewej bo ma podzielną klawiaturę,gdzie można łączyć efekty.Tutaj nawet połowy nie pokazano co ona potrafi.

Awesome machine. Bought one back in 2014. Tried to do a Suicide/YMG esque thing with it. Ended up just making samples with it. Still love the sound.

I had one of these and it sat on top of my CP30. I loved it, you get really big thick synth pads and leads and the organ was pretty good too. My next synth was a Jupiter 8! But I've always had a soft spot for that little SK20. ❤

For the ones who des not know about it, the D70 it is not per se the "facelift " of the D50 but from the U220 (it was marketed D70 to capitalize on the success of the D50) I still felt instantly in love with it when I played in the store. The D70 was my loyal companion on all my covers band from 1994 til 2000. Yes I know, it sounded sometimes a little bit "thin" if you use the "four tones" separated, but it was easy to program and I appreciate the 76 keys with four zones. For live performances was just genial. I just needed the D70 and the MC-50 Kii. All of the bands I played with loved it as I did.

I had an M3r back in the day...paid $850 for it in 1991, pretty much the going rate for a new one at the time. The M1R was $1500, and the M1 was $2k. The M3r has a slightly different flavor than the M1 because of the waveforms borrowed from the T series synths. I had a blast with it back in the day, gigged all over the L.A. area with it driving it through a Roland A-80 midi controller. Not sure if it would be worth investing in one now....the Korg M1 software version would satisfy most people's thirst for these sounds, though like I said, the M3R is a little different than the M1.

This is the synthesizer used on the iconic album: Disintegration (1989). The big open string sound in Plainsong is made up off multiple layers of the Eminent Solina String Ensemble. Its in closedown as well. Its on other tracks too.

I'm getting one of these in about an hour for only $200 and its in great shape! Cant wait to test try and then take it home!!!
