Cayde always seemed like the guy to get himself in the most batshit crazy situations and somehow get himself out completely fine (well.....until he didn't) and that was always what made him a hilarous character to me....he was like that fun relative you don't get to see very often

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is the first FF main game I've ever played so I had no idea what was going on but it was still a fun game. I legit thought that she said Sephiroth. I was like, oh really?

Aerith is breathtakingly beautiful in the pre-rendered scenes.

If you pay close attention, Cloud's eyes widened not merely because of the physical pain, but also because he heard the name, even though we (the player) do not. His eyes grew wide because deep inside, he knows and remembers Zack, but his brain is suppressing these memories to keep him from breaking the "coping" mechanism. The physical pain is his brain trying to muffle out the psychological pain. All throughout this game, Cloud is grieving Zack (along with Nebelheim, his family, his dreams) in a complex and broken way. It really adds an element of sadness to this scene when you realize that his reaction to the intense pain, was a reaction to Zack's name.

Interesting I’m currently replaying FFVII original and Aerith says that, if I remember line correctly, Zack was the first guy she ever “liked”, while here it’s “loved”.

Aerith is a goddess/spirit guide (healer), she's not what you think (why Cloud falls into her bed of flowers/church). Her name means flower (Death and all his pretty little flowers). You need to understand the game's basis: Sefirot/O Fortuna - there's upper/lower worlds in play. She is there to help Cloud ascend, why she says "look forward, not back." Just as Zack ascends. It's all about a hero's journey (Tarot/Zodiac/O Fortuna).

She was trying to fill a hole in her heart with Cloud, a hole left when Zack died.

You can tell they use different character models on the pre-rendered cutscenes. Like, Aerith's face is very different between the game model and the pre-render. I like them both, but I prefer the pre-rendered model more. I think only Tifa looks exactly the same in both models

This scene and when she first meets cloud and gives him the flower and says "Lovers used to give these when they were reunited" upon noticing he has the same mako infused eyes as Zack TEARS ME APART MAN
