Hard to say for sure, check voltage with a multimeter it should be close to 75 on a full charge. Sometimes you can get a small spark when you first go to connect it that's just capacitors charging but it shouldn't keep sparking like it's trying to weld itself. If so something isn't right like positive and negative touching each other somewhere

If it has a transmission it should be fine if you gear it right you should have plenty of power to take off in 1st gear then shit up for more speed. If it doesn't have a transmission it's just in the speed you should probably go for more voltage.

Any painted parts (MDF), what I do before painting: water down some white glue or wood glue and brush on 2 coats with a chip brush, let dry, then paint. It seals the MDF so the paint doesn't absorb into the wood, leaving a dull finish.

Could you actually hear 60Hz and 70Hz from the front seat? I've got a Navigator which is pretty much the same size as a Tahoe. Regardless of the box type or tuning, the output rolls off starting at 45Hz. The lower bass sounds great, but theres no upper bass at all (it's 15dB to 18dB down). I think its cancellation due to the box being in the back and the listening position in the front. It's strange, but I'm working around it. If you can actually hear 60 and 70 Hz and it's pretty loud, maybe the sheer size of your box shrank the vehicle interior and raised the frequency range?

@@ROCKBOTTOMCUSTOMS Very cool. I've been experimenting with small boxes, 2 cu ft, to see how it sounds. My actual big box will be about 8 cubes gross for three 12's. Sub and ports firing up. It's not as big as your box, but any extra bass on the top end will be appreciated. This big box is going behind the 2nd row seats. There is still 2 ft of storage space between the box and the hatch. I might add a hinged extension so the top of the box extends all the way to the hatch. I can have storage under the extension. This will shrink the interior even more. Thats definitely worth trying. 👍 Thanks again.

Goes to show you don't need 5000 watts to rumble.

I rebuilt an old sealed lead acid e-scooter with this exact motor; I had to cut about a half inch off either side of the speed controller to get it to fit the chassis (snugly) but it all fits. Now I'm waiting on the new throttle to arrive with the integrated 3 speed switch and a reverse button. Mine had the reverse button but no 3 speed selector, and your video came in quite handy to figure out why I wasn't getting advertised top speed. Thanks for helping me solve that, there wasn't even an installation guide in the box. I'm running 2x 48V 15AH Li ion packs in parallel, giving me approx. 30AH capacity. I did have to drill out the rivets of the old XLR charge port so I could rivet in the new one (different polarity), otherwise there wasn't any real modification required for the frame. Everything bolted right up and I reused the factory wiring channels to keep it looking like a factory install. (Speaking of, well done with the cable management on the mean green machine, it looks rather neat and tidy!)

Thanks so much! Glad to hear it was helpful. Sounds like you got a pretty nice machine yourself.
