My Series 2 XM 2.5Turbo Diesel VSX estate showing how economical it can be with some short runs and short motorway trips mixed in (5 miles short trips, 20 miles motorway, 5miles A-road mke up most of my trips) PS the odo that i reset when full reads 193miles so far on that much fuel. Trip computer hasn't dropped from 620miles range yet!

After replacing injectors 5-6 I am still getting a rough running and refusing to start when any heat is in the engine problem. Tested injectors by removing electrical connector to each one and also leak off and all well within tolerance. Same engine as used in 330/530/730/x5 manual diesels. Watch about 1 minute or so in. As i move into the outside lane I let off the accelerator and they do the same and then tap their brakes, then SLAM them on. The antics only just start! 2 videos combined but in the last one watch what they do just before they turn right in Wilmslow. I missed 2 videos out as I just kept well back as they sat up the ass of the cars in front of them.

      Elliot K I sit at about 55-65mph when on the motorway and just read the road ahead a lot so I don’t have to do much if any sharp or hard breaking and use engine breaking. This is an estate Citroen XM as well 😂🙈👍

    Very belated reply but it turned out to be the High Pressure injection pump. replaced it and the issue has been resolved.

    Hey btw my petrol BMW had almost the same problem, check the gas pedal, there electric and mine was making my car be at half throttle and not want to start just like yours.

    I think that's that ac pump problem. The same thing happened to mine. But it ran ok after replacing ac pump.

    I also had a problem with my Range Rover TD6. The fault code said "faulty injector no 5", replaced it and it still was a problem. Then I remebered what Ed did on that Range Rover TD6 on "Wheelers dealers", he replaced the injector harness. So I replaced my injector harness with a new one and the problem was gone.

    its your maf sensor or your coil packs change them and go from there..and check camshaft position sensor as well my truck just did the same thing i change the battery and the coil packs as well as the maf now smooth as butter.

    I ended up paying £60 for a guy to come round and pop then out for me with his tool. A slide hammer should do the job for most but as CZcams shows some are heavily stuck so require a vibrating hydraulic tool to remove :)

    Egr has been checked and cleaned out :( its not the issue from what I can see and I'm guessing its the high pressure pump but I can't find the exact output pressure it should produce :(

    If there was no fauld code inside the ECU I would check the mechanical state of the EGR valves. Sometimes they brake of so electricaly they are fine but will produces sutch hehavior. good luck
