Discipline your life with the desire to feel good and feel good about that. Create a new habit with joy and rewards. Get high on your new good habits. Don't use guilt to change a bad habit, because guilt is a bad habit. Try innocence, and emotional rewards of pleasure, being proud of yourself.

I really struggle With addictions and sober living that creates so much guilt.
We have the ability to surrender our cares into the Grace of GOD while sober, the same way we do with drink. Drunk on GOD is possible, it is LOVE, it is healthy, and it worked for me. Plus I created a score sheet and gave myself a big star for each day I didn't have a drink. The reward method needs to be experimented with. Give yourself a big reward just for being forthright in your post. Much love.

I had this realisation the other day, I’ve been trying to transmute this guilt and I realised that I actually feel guilty about how innocent I am, at my naivety at things, that I don’t know everything and can’t do everything, that I just want to explore and be curious and play sometimes, not always perform to the highest standard For so long I didn’t know how to rationalise not feeling guilty, and it’s was a lot about just giving myself permission to explore and I don’t have to be embarrassed about my starting point when starting new things
I love what you said. To me guilt is a primitive defense mechanism that tries to make me feel bad now so I do better later. Punishment as a motivator instead of reward. This violates all the Spiritual Laws of Love and the purpose of life (the expansion of LOVE). Feel great now. Be proud of yourself. Love who you are and let THAT ENERGY expand.
