This song always reminds me of biology. When I was taking that class in school, one unit was on meiosis. When chromosomes of the same type (one from the father one from the mother) line up with each other, they exchange information. This event is known as “crossing over”. As soon as I heard that in school, this song IMMEDIATELY came to mind 😆

Another big hit for Rick in 1962 , never released on an original Imperial album by Rick . I always felt like it belonged on "Album 7" by Rick in 1962 , but it didn't. Such a shame, it would have made that album better!!!! 🎸. 😊

I just heard this on Sirius Xm. It brought back memories just how good Ricky Nelson was. Such a cool voice and song.

This was soo brave of Gene just a couple of years after he's best buddy Eddie Cochran died in a tragic car accident in April 1960 Gene carried on Rock n Rolling with out the blue caps he's 56 boys on be bop alula and many more of his best Rockabilly music Gene was much more in pain around this time and drank more whisky to kill the pain which killed him in the end

Sonny Curtis wrote this, an underappreciated songwriter...he wrote and sang the Mary Tyler Moore show theme in 1970, had a hit record with it. He wrote so many songs for others after being a member of the post Buddy Holly Crickets. This song song may be short but it is so beautiful, it was written for the 1965 comedy movie Love and Kisses that starred Ricky Nelson and his then wife Kristen [Harmon] Nelson. Had I known this song existed when my wife and I were married, I would have sang it to her at our wedding reception.
