The face buttons on the converted Genesis pad work, but you have to press them like you mean it. The Genesis 1 pad does suffer from that naturally, but this controller must need a new membrane because you need to press them pretty hard. I`m less than enthusiastic about opening and fiddling with a custom controller, so I will live with it. The rotary is fun as hell, and you just keep the firing ...

Well after extensive testing, I have decided that the Lynx`s 30 year old LCD screen is booty. I will upgrade them to a modern screen eventually, but not by me. Lots of soldering and refitting needs to done, and I am not that guy. Stay tuned! The modern incarnation of the Lynx 2 is coming, but much later down the road. Money does indeed fix everything the retro world.

So, with the price breakdown I explained the prices, but with the dual flashcards and ComLynx cable I have access to all games in the library with the 2 player option. Priceless.

So I made a mistake in the video. The Atari ST is the successor to the 8 Bit Atari home computers, although I`m not sure if it was 16 Bit. It did compete with the Amiga at the time, so that would be my guess.

One handled i was impressed with back in the day was the nokia engage it did not master anything but it did everything competently.
I dont get retro gamers obsession with this handheld. It had a couple of good games. But the screen resolution was worse than the gameboy original and harder to see than the gamegear but psp was one of the best handleds so underrated.
I was so tempted in lying about the gamegear cable.

Where did you get that 3.5 caddy you have attached to your network adaptor?

Satiator is way too expensive for what it does, compared to the Saroo in my opinion. I would, but why?

Nice, I ordered one of these for about £20 on eBay; coming straight from china. I personally don’t mind flashing a rom to the internal memory. I probably won’t use it too much anyways but it’s nice to know I can play most games on my GameGear without breaking the bank for an EverDrive.
Should of gotten the summercart64 instead.

Awesome TV. By the way, you can also bevel the end of the cartridge PCB because in most cases it comes with a hard edged PCB which doesn’t help with your cartridge slot
I did it a month earlier in 4K haha! I have been told as some ongoing gag that the Lynx cable was useless because no two ppl who knew each other owned a Lynx and the same game, and a cable between them!
@@Retroloft556 Interesting it seems you're into PSP. I used to write for it. The Comlynx, I'd like to decode and reverse the communication between devices while Cali Games Surfing is running. it's more about knowing than playing the game.. although Surfing is in the top two games for me.

SAROO bypasses the CD Block entirely, which means that VCDs and MPEG games are in no way supported.
I realized that, but it supported the 4MB Ram card when it didn`t at first, and I thought that it could be updated to include it. Oh well it`s all good for the price, and that is my point in all this.

This is the Bad Apple demo. It’s available for almost every platform. Looks pretty good on the jaguar.

I feel like an Atari fanboy at this point, but for this month I'm repping 'merica. This is as good as is it gets before the OG Xbox came out in that department.
Don't understand the ST conversion appeal. It's getting to be an overused gimmick. You can play these in emulation.
This is real hardware. No software compatability layer. Just 90s hardware and a flashcard. It hits different with a real Jag controller in your hands.
@@Retroloft556 yeha but some of these look like theyre running in molasses. Theres a video of one called GODS or somesuch. and it seems to run slow as hell. I don't know how the ST original runs but I've heard people say it doesn't even run that slow on emulation.
@@jh5124 I do have to admit, the frame rate on Darius+ is doody. Again, I don`t know how exactly it runs on the real ST, but it is choppy.
But Ghouls and Ghosts runs at full speed? Capcom programming magic? I dunno like I said I have never used or owned an Atari ST.
@@Retroloft556 I don't know. I'll have to check out Ghouls and Ghosts. Wasn't aware they converted that? I'm not up on the ST ports but that's interesting. I'm pretty sure I have it for other systems and emu anyway. Maybe someone should do a side by side vs of an ST game running on the Jag and on an actual ST. See if they really do run that bad on an actual ST,.

It took me a while to put it all together with the GameDrive, it`s weirdness even took me by surprise, and I`m an obscure console nut.
Do you have the .uf2 firmware for this? My friends board just goes to black and occasionally has the 3do logo pop up then goes back to black. No meteor demo..nothing .
You may have figured this out since a month ago, but you can buy a mega sd expansion adapter to let you use it with the 32X attached by letting you use the side slot the actual sega cd uses.
So I dunno but my YT career might be over without making a dime or gathering any type of audience for reasons? I don't know what I did but apparently I'm in the naughty list.

The Saroo is a little bit Voodoo I`m sorry to say. You just don`t know what you are getting from just a EBay listing. You have to play around with it.

No, this test I did is to prove that the Saroo does not work with the MPEG card, which I do have installed. The Saroo is always being updated, though stay tuned if and when it does, I`ll make a video.

I know my cutting of the cart leaves much to be desired. I am not a physical modding guru. My skills lie in file system understanding and software applications via different operating systems.

No. I have a real VCD, The Ring 2. I`m not interested in burning individual movies, I want to figure out the format and convert anything to VCD format but, I`m not going to lie, info is a little thin on this. It`s a little bit Voodoo at this point.
Check out my Saroo MPEG card video to get a demo of it working with Gungriffon , or the Lunar The Silver Star Story Complete vid. For the age of it, it is very impressive.

White Japanese model 2 is my favorite Saturn in my collection. just got a bunch more games set up to try on the saroo later. How big of a card are you using?
just about setup that UI upgrade to get automatic alphabetized menus,but chickened out last minute because I have the thing working
@@DEEPENFRIENDSHIP I`m a little scared to update mine to be perfectly honest. I`m rolling with a 256GB in each, but my games list is far from perfect. I`m still sorting it out.
@Retroloft556 Definitely getting a large card soon, biggest on hand was 32gb and about filled it today.
@@DEEPENFRIENDSHIP Yeah I have that go big or go home mentality when it comes to these things. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I have been using and playing around with it for quite some time and know full well how the file structure is supposed to go. It is very important as you know. So I was copying the games over and realized I had nested a directory inside the ISO folder. Facepalm. Yeah I got it now.
By the way I recommend cheaping out on the quality of the SD card you are going to use. I`m using a bottom shelf Wal-Mart brand Onn SD card I payed $20 a piece for. The read write speed is not great, but it does not have to be. It`s plenty fast enough.

I desperately want an Atari Jaguar. I have owned most retro consoles, but never a Jaguar. The Jaguar Game Drive emulates the CD games perfectly. I will have it, give me a month.
I`m `Merican. I want that authentic `Merican 90`s handheld experience. Mine was not having a color handheld at all LOL.
A huge bummer that it doesn’t support Lunar complete.
Yet. We will see, the Saroo is kind of a work in progress.
It's the fault of this generation of gamers but they cant really be blamed. They weren't around to experience the classics and they can't imagine playing a modern game 30 years from now. So the end result is a bunch of online disposable trash. When it became obvious where gaming was going, they should have voted with their wallets. They didn't and now developers know people will continue to pay to play the same crap again and again.

Does the hardware of the Saroo change or can I buy now?
I got the 1.33 versions off EBay with the black PCB and I cannot be happier. Do not buy earlier models IMO, they have issues.
At the moment, all models are "fake" because the creator hasn't officially released it. He openly releases all the board schematics though, so any one can start selling.
I have to say I love the Saroo. The concept is so elegant, even compared to the Satiator. I`m happy to be the beta tester. :)
