There is a beautiful warm deep brown conte crayon, I can’t remember the name...think it began with an L...I have some somewhere, they are my favorite.

Are the "sanguine" pencils made from pastel?
No that i know of. I bekive they are made of clay and pigment. If im not mistaken

Got them. In real life I prefer the orange glow and warmth of the Sanguine to the others. In particular criteria swatches I thought I preferred the 2 darkest.
yes they are great, but can seem to find the right sharpener
I use penknife to sharpen them
I picked up an H yesterday and it's jet matte black even compared to a Lumograph Black 8B (which itself is noticeably blacker than a Lumograph 8B). What are the softer grades of Pierre Noire like??? If I put down a large enough circle of 3B, will the entire universe fall into it?

Tam Cao oh come on. that is just a demonstration. it's not a super detailed and perfect illustration. it's just a sketch.
