I could write a book on why I went into substance abuse counseling and later returned to school to get my MS in Criminology with a specialization in Forensic Psychology. I then spent twenty years in law enforcement. But the quick answer is that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those who were physically, emotionally, and spiritually broken and unable to see their way out of the darkness. I wanted to protect children from predators that are so gifted at grooming their prey. That is why I spent eighteen years on the sex offender team when only five years was the mandatory recommended time. NO MORE VICTIMS. I was able to perform my duties no matter what my personal cost was because the innocence of children is that important to me. They can't stop the predictor, they do not even see him or her coming.
Thank You so much for what you have done in your career, and continue to do. You are truly a Paladin, and are a perfect example of what drives us! Thank you for your comments!
