I randomly learned about allelopathy yesterday. I tried planting butternut squash into wheat and the butternut took about an extra month to develop. In addition to allelopathy, wheat uses all the nitrogen and blocks the sun. I asked a comment in the latest Ag PhD video about how long the allelopathy process lasts after the wheat is cut or plowed.

For what it's worth, I removed the primer bulb and blocked both hose from the fuel tank and the one to the carb. No problem, just use the choke to start. These bulbs have a designed failure date and are worthless on many 2-stroke engines. If your unit has one, do yourself a favor and NEVER use it. This way it will last years longer before it cracks and requires maintenance. Homelite UT-10580A unit, Mantis cultivator, Echo blower, Redmax string trimmer.

I am so mad at myself!!! I made "spicy garlic and dill pickled bean" in 2022 and with my divorce and large move, I completely forgot about them until now. I just tried them and my gosh they are fantastic!!! The only problem, for some reason, I never made note of who's recipe I used. So frustrating because I normally do. So I went searching for it. This is the recipe that resembles what is in my jars so I hope this is indeed the recipe I used, fingers crossed! If this is the recipe I used it is so FANTASTIC!!!! These beans are crisp, and perfectly pickled with just the right amount of heat! SO DAMN GOOD!!! I only have a couple of jars left as I am now going through them pretty fast. Lol Good thing I have lots of beans coming in! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, I am really surprised how much I am enjoying them! They might just be better than my pickles, and that is saying a lot! Lol

We now have a hoop house and harvested 137lbs of tomatoes last week.we’re considering adding another hoop house. Thank you to Susan for all your canning lessons. Love this! I'm in the process of preparing my liner. This has been a yr long solo project working here n there...digging by hand. I'm using rubber roofing as well. Wish I could've gotten my hands on enough of the black stuff used here but white/grey was all I could find at a good price. The plan is to cover it with thick black plastic so it doesn't show. Fingers crossed that works out🤞Nice work u two! I so can't wait to kick back n enjoy mine as well.

Great job you two! You and your husband seem like a fun good old couple to sit and hang out with by the stream and have a cold drink. My wife and I are building a waterfall with stream extending to a 4x5 foot pond to start off with. Our layout is very much like yours only a smaller scale. I have a couple of questions to ask if you don't mind, since the stream's water is moving constantly do you all deal with mosquitos in the summer time or do they not hang out there much due to the running water?
