Appears to be the bulb and/or ballast on a florescent fixture has gone bad. You should start by changing the bulb and then, if needed, the ballast. If there is still a problem it could be an open or loaded neutral of the light fixture which is a potential fire hazard and would require an electrician. Ghosts do not exist, electric problems do. You should go with the explanation that makes the most sense.

i had exactly the same problem.. i think i have an evil spirit in my home.. its ever since i started praying to god asking to make my life better.. one night i heard a bang out in my conservatory.. and so i went to investigate.. as i walked towards it.. i almost screamed because my pets (1 dog, 1cat) were acting strangley and my cat ran out of the room all scared.. i didnt know why.. so with out looking in the room i turned the light on and it kept flickering.. i ran the hello out of there..

Seems to me that you just have a bad light that needs to be changed. If you want to believe in ghost or haunting's you first have to get rid of the obvious reasons for something happening. A light flickering does not automatically mean its a ghost. Just a bad light. Good luck though.
