seeing your parents struggle instills a different kind of drive/ambition in you 🥹. i think it goes hand-in-hand with overconsumption, especially growing up without that kind of money. it hits different when you finally make your own. spending it all fulfills this inner child dream lol! we didn't know any better, but we do now. ❤️‍🩹 if only i could go back and invest all that money i spent!

i wonder if more women in their early 20s would be dating for marriage if we had the information about the importance of family planning and the associated costs! i always always make sure to tell young women in their 20s, especially because the risks and pressure are much lower, and they’re able to be more proactive about their dating opportunities, career planning, and intentions for their future. i agree with you! dating for fun or with no direction in your late 20s gets harder and harder with age! not only the is the pressure to have a family stronger, but your dating options are worst, and the lifestyle costs are way more. :( maybe their outcome would be different if they knew better, earlier. proactivity always beats reactivity.

It’s good to inform people of this though I do think a lot of it is maturity as well, a lot of people in their early 20s are still figuring themselves out and don’t know what they want in a husband yet. There’s a lot of research that actually shows the ideal age to meet your partner is when you’ve matured, and for lot of women that’s late 20s. Nothing wrong with finding your person and growing together in your early 20s, but there’s already enough biological clock pressure on women, and there’s also benefits to dating a few people, making mistakes in your early 20s, then figuring out what you really want later on. Also, life doesn’t always work out according to plan!

it does, and i wish that young women are told this sooner than later. the pressure gets more intense as we get older!! i hope this gets you thinking about it now. 🫶🏼

i totally get where you're coming from, and it's completely normal to feel frustrated when things aren't going exactly as planned in the dating world. i've been there too! here's the thing: while we can't control everything, we can control how we approach dating and our own personal growth. instead of worrying about factors like age or feeling like you're not reaching a certain milestone fast enough, why not focus on what you can control? take this time to invest in yourself, persue your passions, and become the best version of yourself. when you're intentional about your own growth and happiness, you naturally attract the right kind of people into your life. you've got so much to offer, and the right person will see that. keep being your amazing self, and trust that love will find its way to you when the time is right. 🩷
