The Suzhou Museum is designed by American Chinese architect I.M. Pei, the same architect that designed the Louvre Museum in Paris. There is a Chinese drama series called Marvellous Women (available in iqiyi) that was released just a few years ago. Its main plot is about women emancipation led by the female protagonist who was also the master emroiderer of her time. Suzhou is famous in China for its exquisite and rich silk embroidery legacy. Watching this series will enrich your experience in Suzhou. Have a marvellous trip !

It is fascinating how American music from the 1960s can travel all the way to communist China by way of a European. Do you guys know only Michelle Phillips is the only remaining member of the Mamas and Papas? Michelle was one of the most attractive singer/actress of that time and she did some movies and TV shows after her singing career. Michelle is now 79 years old.

What university is this in Shanghai? Do they lecture in Mandarin or something or in English? Shanghai is supposed to be one of the most populated cities in the world like Tokyo. But in her videos, there are always so few people....maybe she films in early morning weekend or something when people haven't woken up. Even the shopping center at the end, it looks empty. Where does she go to in Shanghai that there are so few people? What is the name of the shopping mall she was filming at the end? It's amazing she can read all the Chinese signs.
Because China is VERY BIGGG! Even though the city is populated, there are so many huge shopping malls in Shanghai. I think that’s why it looks like not many ppl as u thought. Another reason is she may record videos on weekday. Actually, if u come in holidays, u will see ppl are everywhere 😂

Tbh it looks ugly, all the European/western archetecture and aestethics festooning the city really brings it down. The colonizers sure fucked up the place real good 😂🤣 If you like Europe so much then go to Europe. Why are you wandering in a country that's supposedly beneath you?
