I work in an energy company here in UK and have lashed alot of white guys in the office .In our branch..we are 125 staff and am the only black person. Now am in a senior role as an energy engineer. Please dont do any eye service...if them cross u badly, talk to your manager,dont keep mute.

💯 💯 correct... There are also workplaces that their career progression is poor, just like d carehome i find myself.. i have to have stayed in the UK before the company can enrol me for NVQ2... Omo, when i heard that, ejoor how will i be in a particular position for 3yrs? God forbid! Naso i carry my leg and money go do Diploma Level 2 and Level 3 online because i can never be comfortable at a spot/position for that long. I started care Dec, i started my course in Feb just 2months after i started work cos i really cant relate staying in a position for that long... As time goes on Team leader position was available and i applied, but i didn't get it. But today i can boldly say, with the help of God and the course i did which reflected on my CV, i was able to secure a Band 3 role in the NHS without any prior experience of working in the NHS. One thing i know in this country, no experience is looked down on! Just put it in your CV and be able to defend it😊 The sky will be our starting point 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Very true. I'm also a testament to the fact that this works despite being told that i wont be able to get an accounting/finance roles bcos it's for a cabal and only given to their citizens, they were proven wrong bcos I've worked as an account officer (entry level) and now got a higher role as an assistant management accountant (which i got after progressing in my skill level). With God on our side and believing in oneself, theres no limit at all.

You are an inspiration bro... I recently got a job with a logistics firm and was able to do some research on the courses, licences, and qualifications etc to get a better role in the future. In this UK, one has to be very intentional if you want to progressive from one level to another. Unlike naija, the minimum certficate here is just GSCE for you to start your career in certain fields.

Uhmmm it is well. I started watching ur videos when I was still planning on dis relocating journey. I remembered when u cm to pick ur kids after 8 months u left Nigeria Mum said iwo nikan lowani? Lols I remembered telling my hubby then that we can do this just see what dis guys r doing. Thank God we cm last year n my 3 kids joined us too after 8 months lols we also got a 3 beds B4 my kids arrived. I will just laugh and tell my hubby just like that guy that that cm to Nigeria after 8 months 😂. My hubby don't kw us as fab family but when i just say that guy that cm after 8 months he kws who i was referring too. I give thanks to God also we slept at the city center the first day we cm by d road side with my hubby 😢. I return the glory👍
