Where can I get one or make one
You'll need to search collectors fairs for these.
They are not all made equal. Some have higher psi than others. Enamels are a heavier body paint which needs more psi and a larger needle - not something sold for makeup application. Bit of a lucky dip unless you search for "32 psi portable airbrush" - then you might get one that can do 20psi which mine does.
The speckle effect could actually be useful in some cases to model the squashed flies on the front of locomotives/units in the summer.
That is one of the most bizarre toys I have ever seen. It is wonderful. Thanks for the video.
What size is thread on the battery. Thanks.
my dad bought this for me before when I was younger BEST TOY EVER!!!
This is the best one I have ever seen
Another 1 to amuse the cat, much better than the rebadge Hornby, though not as good as the Auto. Triangs😁👍👍
I think I paid £53.25 for mine about the same time, same date stamp, in the "cellophane" faded box front! It wasn't in the cellophane long😈 & not on the overcrowded train set😞 I did have a test track for a few weeks, till the cat got bored, even with the extra Timber yard. The best thing you can do with those wagons is to replace the wheelsets, Peters spares.
Can I have it please?
Wow, the railway looks so different
Excellent!
Hi Phil. Sorry to hear you are disappointed with your purchase. I ordered and received today the exact same Airbrush kit only in black. I've just used it to spray mixed metallic auto paint on my Land Rover with stone chips and was amazed at the result. It's the first time I've used an airbrush and I was a little apprehensive and praticed first. Brilliant result. I'll add the clear coat tomorrow. I looked at many kits on eBay, Amazon and Aliexpress so held my breath when I ordered this one. I'm happy and her indoors is happier! So far anyway! LOL! Good luck. Cheers from OZ. 🙂👍
Hey thanks for that. I just bought one...never used airbrush before so hopefully I get great results like you👍
I suspect the quality of the tool varies a bit more than it does with the big brands. Maybe I got a duff one?
Hi. Where can I get a model from?
Difficult. London Transport museum sold them, but I think they are long sold out.
Aww,I went to the transport museum the other day, live in London.
I’ve been very tempted by these little locos. Never owned anything by Rapido
Just found your you tube and blogger sites Phil, Thanks. I reckon that the thing that gets hot and do not touch it must be a heat sink. The Bob's board varies the current to motor by varying the resistance as you said but in doing so can produce a lot of heat (burnt a few out myself) so perhaps if the heat sink is attached with thermal tape it might help the dissipation of excess heat, PERHAPS ! good article on Model Mayhem about Bob's boards. Mike.

That is a lovely little kettle!
I'm a tram and I approve this video!
How is it working now after a year?considering to buy one as. Beginner for gunpla painting
Thanks for this
no good disgusting and allso waisting time
Very modern.
what are you doing theo? who isit
The mtr airport express is at sunny bay station a train
I have got a loco would love to have a coach to go with it but looking on eBay they seem to bring silly money
The coaches are worth more than the locos. I don't think many people bought them at the time, hence the rarity and price now.
could you show how to do assembly sequence 29 onwards as i am completely stuck
hello, one question, as long as you don't press the button, no air should come out? in my airbrush, when I turn it on, air already comes out even without pressing the button, ...... is it possible that it does not work well? Thank you
You are correct. Sounds like you have a faulty airbrush. It might be the button is jammed slightly on, maybe stripping it down and cleaning it out will help?
I regret buying this airbrush.thought im the onLy one. TiLL i saw this vid. Its kinda dissapointing actuaLLy but i cant return it anymore
Thanks for the video. Have you tested the mini-compressor with a decent airbrush (e.g., your Iwata)? I am wondering whether it is worth purchasing such a kit for the convenience of the compressor coupled with a good brush.

Hi :) Can I ask where you filmed this from and if you had to buy a ticket to access the platform? My son is a train fanatic but would be quite happy to just watch them rather than buying the extortionate tickets. Thanks
I filmed from the car park and on the platform - no need for a ticket. I agree, it's not cheap to travel, but these things cost a breathtaking amount to run, so I still buy food and souvenirs and drop donations in.
You mention that the loco is geared. Is this correct, or is the gearing there for valve timing?
No, the loco is geared 2:1 - the cranks rotate twice for every revolution of the driving wheels. It's very clever.
Hilarious
Loved my time there during the Great Model Railway Challenge filming 🤗

Such a shame you've not come back to this. I watched your video this morning, having already purchased and tested the two-battery version of this portable airbrush. Before using it, I had a basic training session with a professional model painter I know. I learned the basics of airbrushing, including correctly preparing the paint and cleaning the device afterwards, which the included instructions gloss over. You alluded to both and indeed dismantled the airbrush to clean it. I then had a go with a traditional setup on a compressor before having a go with this kit. My results using both setups were very comparable! Interestingly, so were my son's, who has a minor fine motor control disability. My tutor then had a go with this kit and was very pleasantly surprised at not only the controllability and features but the availability of spares. He's even going to get one so that he doesn't have to dismantle his station to work on the layout at his club. I encourage you to have another look. Nobody I've spoken to who has one and uses it - two separate but very important criteria when asking opinion - has had the experience you've had and attributed it to the airbrush. I have no affiliation with the company other than as a customer who's invested an amount I was willing to write off if it turned out to be rubbish. My experience differs from yours, in fact it's the other end of the spectrum, and I think as an influencer you've been a little unfair in issuing a cursory review a year ago and not revisiting it as suggested.
I bought mine last dec but Im not impress and satisfied with the performance and its expensive also.
Thanks Phil, shame it's a little bit late! I bought one just before Christmas and thought to test it this week on a model, I guess it's going to be a interesting paperweight then!!
👍👍🌹👍👍
🌹Nice and very.. BEUTIFULL.. view🌹👍
Same as Chinese amateur radios, utter junk. There are some good equipment that comes from China but its few and far between. There's no substitute for quality, and its certainly not plagiarized crap. Chinese Kung fu and martial arts are the best. 😉
You know that every think is porduced in china, or?
A 4-car S stock.. That's illegal!🤨
I don't remember this but I just saw an advert for it on a youtube video for Adverts Boxing Day 1987. It must only have been around for a short time.
All kinds of these which comes from China is really bad quality.
I like this
The one I've got is brilliant... No splatter at all... But I paid extra and got a good one
