It happened to me while removing the front camera covers. The ring has a cut (see at 1:05 ) like a piston ring and it was easier to push it back in place by expanding the ring with a small flathead.

It's not mentioned very often but one of the best reasons to buy Tesla vehicles is because Tesla is an American company. If you want to surprise yourself search the internet and find out what the top four most made in America vehicles are . And that is amongst Diesel and gasoline gasoline vehicles as well. Thats of all types. You might be surprised to find out that the top four are all Teslas. And number five is a Japanese car . And if you're like me you might be happy to support American companies and American jobs add American ingenuity. that's not to mention that they are the best performing cars you can buy in my opinion.

Thanks. I'm thinking about going to an all electric vehicle. My concern was/is how many miles will i get before battery needs replacing. My hybrid SUV Lexus was great with no major repairs until it hit 200k miles, it now needs a lot of major repairs. I was thinking of getting a new Lexus SUV, but with the price of EV's now, I'm looking at that as a possible first option.

Case in point, just read an article about a police force in the US that has 18 Tesla in their fleet. Just sold one of their cars, a 2019, got 17k versus the 5k They use to get for gas counterpart. Also, town saves 80k a year since ev transition.

The problem, and now YOUR problem, is that Tesla is a pump and dump and Elon is now in the dump phase. BY virtue of his recent demands and scams hitting Tesla up for over $50 billion, Elon is literally attempting to extract for himself 100% of the profit made by Tesla from its inception. Musk is just keeping his promise to keep lowering the price of the cars as production and efficiencey increase. He has always said he would lower prices as the cost came down. That is what he is doing. So a tesla you bought a few years ago for 60k is now new 35k. So of course the value of the 60 k car is going to depreciate as though you paid 35k. Even the rental companies did not understand that when they bought thousands. Musk was not going to keep the prices high just to please the prior buyers. He kept his word, did what he said he was going to do. The 35k car today will be the 25k car tomorrow.

Preach.. paid $40k for my 18' M3P which is now worth about half that at 60k miles. If the fed tax credit wasn't a thing I imagine my car would be worth about 6-8k more, that's the real factor here with model 3/Y resale. As far as S/X that's technically a lux vehicle and is depreciating at the same rate an S-class , L audi etc.

Your logic is flawed. A tv cannot take you anywhere like a car can, a ford f100 and a Toyota Tacoma hold their value well. The battery on a Tesla degrades very quickly and it costs double to supercharge your car. Tesla is a scam.

Good analogy of bringing up flat screens and cd players, hadn't thought of that.
