Hello sir thank you for your really great video. the sterling engine on the book shelf was lovely for me 😍🥰
Hah, that is a great engine. I use it to demonstrate thermodynamics topics in my classes.
Thank you so much! My professor for ENGR 1304 never instructed us with great details like this.
Please keep making these mastercam videos!!!! Any chance you get, to program a part in mastercam, and post it to CZcams, I will gladly watch! So many people are trying to learn this, with no one to help ! Thank you so much !
Thanks for the feedback. Make sure to subscribe and turn on all notifications so you will know as I post additional videos later this semester.
About 4 years ago, I took my first class of Solidworks with you at ACC Austin. I've been growing on Solidworks over the years. Now, I'm planning to learn more applications and was looking into Mastercam; to my surprise, I saw your video about this. Once again great work.
Good to hear from you. You should check out MCHN 1426 Introduction to CAM. Clint LaFont is a great instructor.
3:29 so classic
Hah, yes, but it recovered nicely!
What's the Material for this Hex Bolt?
Check the McMaster-Carr data sheet and use the closest you can find in the Solidworks material library.
Hello sir, what is the Bluetooth temperature probes do you use in the experiment?
They are Vernier surface temperature probes. They connect via bluetooth or USB. www.vernier.com/product/go-direct-surface-temperature-sensor/
@@MarkSummersCAD one more question sir, is it possible to simulate a PCB in enclosure with a fan in solidworks to make a thermal analysis for my project?
Absolutely@@kamelk8027. You can use Solidworks PCB to design the PCB and use it in in Solidworks Flow with the Electronics Cooling Module Add-in.
Thank you Sir for sharing your knowledge with us@@MarkSummersCAD
12:00 there is no tap depth showing for me only drill depth Please help
I suspect you need to go back to the part model and adjust the options of how the tapped hole is displayed. Edit the hole wizard feature and look at the options near the bottom of the list and make sure to turn on the option to show both the hole tap depth and hole tao drill droth.

Great. Could you please make a video about voltage transformer monitor? In this case, how to assemble it in a suitcase to be used in the field. Thanks.

Not sure what you are referring to when you say "voltage transformer monitor". Please pass along additional details...
Thanks, my friend.
can i get hose cfd and solidwork files
Sorry, but the design project is part of an ongoing project that I eventually plan to monatize, so I can't share the actual design files due to the nature of the IP. If you are interested in the Ada Fruit assembly (check the 30:00 point in the video), send me an e-mail request.
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice

Thanks Mark for the analysis and lucid explanation. Wanted to check if you also have any analysis done for the comparison between PWM and linear based thermoelectric controllers. I think manfacturers publish graph from linear current testing. PWM reduces efficiency even at high frequencies as compared to linear ones, but still most of the products use PWM only because of size and cost.
Vivek, thanks for the kind words. Your question is a good one, and my short answer is "no". Like you, I have not seen performance data from manufacturer's Laird in particular) regarding time varying supplied current to TECs. I did try some testing during my thesis work where I would turn off half of the TECs mounted to my condensation plate for a couple minutes to save electrical power, but the results were not good for generating AWG since the condensation plates quickly warmed up and prevented water generation. Although Solidworks Flow Simulation provided transient (time-dependent) analysis options, I don't know of any way to simulate a time varying PWM power input to the TEC elements.
@@MarkSummersCAD Thanks Mark for info
Nice 🦬
Nice video!!
Nice video!!!!!
😁
you could use a parametric study if you wont change the configuration that would be a time saver
Agreed. I also like to use the "clone study' option to prevent re-entering all the parameters.
@@MarkSummersCAD i would like to know how i can make a study inside another study for example an internal study like in an engine that operates inside a bigger system while that system operates for example under external conditions 😇
@@user-cb4xg8pc7j You can do the first study (inner portion) and get the results, then import those results (flow rates, etc.) into the second (outer portion) study. I do that for my study where I compute flow rates through the duct system, then apply the flow rates to the larger (outer) study.

Thank you for the lessons
You are welcome, glad you find them useful!
I like the way how you explained everything in a very practical application. really good. I don't need to use my imagination to understand what's you are talking about . Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback. I find that when students struggle with GD&T concepts, the best way to address learning about GD&T is with hands-on demonstrations.
how can you evaluate L from 20+(25x) such as 45,70,95,120...without error?
Thanks for the question. The idea is that I only allow the DIN rail to be cut in even increments of 50 mm (slot pitch) and only in a location evenly located between two adjacent slots. If you wanted to locate the first cut 45mm from one end, you could edit the slot extrude cut sketch to change the 50mm dimension to 45mm. However, this would break the symmetry and the slot at the other end would be 55mm from the far end.
OMG, how come I have never seen your videos before?... I just highlighted some of your videos, and they're really amazing.
Glad you enjoy them. Make sure to subscribe to the channel and spread the word!

Man, hardly any traffic. How lucky you are! Hope your trip was nice.
Hello Sir, I am enrolled in engr 1304 class. At the moment, there are no templates to see on the blackboard site.
Nevermind that! I see the location of the templates
thank you sir for this explanation. i was confused because i didn't know what are the degrees of freedom. your lecture has helped me to get it.,🙏❤️
Thanks for the kind words. Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us!😃
Awesome video series. Your students are very lucky.
