It’s Hip To Be Square !!
Glad you got that 'squared' away! :P
😂
Speed squares are one of the most useful things.
Shouldve had a second square and say squared²
Yeah… and?
Your mother.
@@rzeeain't no square big enough for her
Great video!! Thanks!!!
Cabinet scrapers are awesome tools!
My fave is an off brand transitional jack made by Hunt Mfg Co. Great for making rough lumber flat.
ou trouver les dado en métal triste en plastique pas solide

Love them they are great
I haven’t tried one of those low angle jack planes yet, but they look like they get through tough grain better. More versatile tool, maybe?
Beautyful work Man
I am Wood Worker Brazil
You have opened another door in my creative wood working. Thank you so much. Geoff from Tasmania
Box Elder Maples are considered a "trash" tree as they frequently drop dead branches and have dead branches within their foliage. And they will grow anywhere very easily, hence the term "weed tree".
Gorgeous work, thank you for the inspiration!
Can pipe clamps exert more pressure? Or is the difference moot?
A typical parallel clamp can reach about 350 PSI. 3/4" pipe clamps can reach around 1,000 PSI and the I-beam style bar clamps can reach up to about 1,400 PSI.
@@canadianwoodworking with any clamp, is it possible to press boards together so as to force all the glue out thus having a weak connection or is that an old woodworkers tale?
@@erichaskell It is possible. Applying too much pressure will result in the bond not being as strong as it could have been. You also risk the possibility of damaging your workpiece. All you need to do is tighten the clamps until you see glue begin to ooze out.
I know I'm late to tell you, I really enjoyed this video and you teaching us the approach of your work on surfaces. Very insightful and inspiring! Can you tell me what you used on the lower half of the board in the thumbnail? Is it a ball peined hammer? It looks wider and smoother than carving. Very intriguing!
Very good men 👍🏽
Niiiice!
Inspiring, reminder to build mock ups .pays off. Well done ,thanks
I love that!
Einfach genial
Brad points are great if theyre sharp and good quality. So many of them aren't for some reason, even when new
And?
Agreed, Ash is a beautiful wood. In England we are also losing our Ash forests due to Ash Dieback fungus, and lots are being preemptively felled for forest management. Seems to be holding its price tho
Rob Brown
Yes, but using a spokeshave or block plane. The router leaves such a bland shape and surface behind.
“I tend to stay away from the flavor of the month “and the next picture is of a live edge table…sweet !
How long.... 😴
For basic stock removal I stop after draw-filing the edge and start scraping.

Pull saws were originated in a country with little or no native hardwoods. I use western saws on hardwood, Japanese saws on softwood. They are brilliant, but I personally cut straighter with a western saw.
Tennon saw
Nippon saw😊
I still don't understand why they made this saw run on batteries 😒
I use handy wrap......before.
