I was there around that same spot and could hear yelling..

I am very very late to this post, however I had an experience at Gettysburg many years ago. We were traveling, it was early morning and unplanned, we decided to stop at Gettysburg. It was very early, there was no one there, except a few locals doing their morning walk near the Gettysburg Address momument/walkway. I was with my husband and as we were walking around, I kept hearing heavy gunfire. I at first thought there was a re-enactment going on (I just read within these comments that they aren't even allowed there). I kept hearing the gunfire and then it occurred to me that they wouldn't be shooting that early in the morning. I asked my husband if he heard it, and he looked at me like I was crazy and said no, he wasn't hearing any gunfire. I actually stopped a woman that was walking if she heard it, and she said no, she didn't hear anything, but she kinda of laughed like she wasn't that surprised by my question. I've had other experiences with hearing things from "beyond the grave", but that was my experience at Gettysburg

No wonder it's haunted, traumatic events stain the ground.

I thought I heard a lot of hooting and hollering in the background.

I had a similar experience when I visited Marston Moor battlefield (1644) from the English Civil War approximately 20 years ago.

I think they should do some kind of reunion, where tgey can release these spirits, its time for them to rest,, they cant go on firever like this, they need to understand that is done, no kore!

They didn't "serve" your country. They Union fought to avoid secession and the confederates fought to maintain slavery and to be independent from the north. I'm not from the States and I think I understand more the reasons of the civil war than you.

I definitely hear chatting in the background. It's very quiet, but it's like an echo of the past.

I can here a lot of voice's men's and gunfire and shouting and the word charge.

Has anybody seen at about the 2:44 mark the figures moving in the deep middle ground in the copse of orange trees on the right side? It almost glimmers there. Or could there be others out on the field?

There are always re-enactors there and that could’ve been what were hearing. There’s no such thing as ghosts in my opinion.

All battlefield in the world are the same. Noises of the combat with the sound of canon and the howling of the soldiers .... The place of waterloo ( last Napoléon battle ) in belgium is the same.

I was driving around all over Gettysburg at night. I heard nothing but crickets 😞

They are not replaying the event what everyone is seeing is residual energy replaying the event like a time loop per say with the enormous amount of emotions going on in these battles it definitely left a impression.
