The Science Behind Inside Out 2
Explore the science behind Pixar's highly anticipated new film, Inside Out 2, and delve into the complexities of emotion and the teenage brain.
This illuminating one-hour event will feature a conversation with GGSC Faculty Director Dacher Keltner, Ph.D., and Lisa Damour, Ph.D., who both served as scientific consultants on the film. They will share their expert insights into the world of teenage emotions. They will be joined by lead editor of the film, Maurissa Horwitz, who will explain how the film tried to bring this world of teenage emotions to the screen. Moderated by GGSC Senior Fellow Allison Briscoe-Smith, Ph.D., this livestreamed conversation promises to be both enlightening and thought-provoking--for parents, teens, educators, movie lovers, and anyone interested in psychology.

The experiment is fine, says a lot about our TRUE nature, but the conclusion is silly, is religious. There is no such thing as bad or good. There is ONE motivation behind it, and is about who we really are, at his moment of evolution of Consciousness=the ego.

Type a personality doesn't cause heart disease. It turns out the tobacco industry founded research to pretend that it was personality rather than smoking that caused disease. Ulterior studies without ties to the tobacco industry haven't found that link.

The sad thing is that it is always the person who has been rejected, ignored, and hurt again and again watching this video. It is always the person who is searching for an answer desperately because the pain is so deep that came across this video. But the person who actually needs to know this would not watch this video, and if you send them a link, they would say "oh I don't need this crap".

Videos of this type are not intended for the person who commits the injustice, they are intended for the person who is being wronged. So that he can understand what situation he is in. Giving words to feelings means understanding the problem, being able to express what the problem is. And that means walking a long, long way towards the solution. Many times the person who creates the problem cannot recognize it if the person in front of him cannot express it in words. After the problem has been named and expressed, the initial free choice is the offender's, but it is followed by the victim's free choice.
