I like bicycling, RVing, driving fast in my BMW, traveling, working on my pool, camping, fooling around with my watches both expensive and cheap, and YouTubing.

New Covid FLiRT - What is this Covid 19 Family of Variants They call FLiRT? Paxlovid Again yes or no
I have Covid again, and it is called FLiRT this time !
My last time with Covid I had over 27,000 views so here I am again, to tell you what i am doing this time.
I am not doing Paxlovid this time!
I am using cold medicine Coricidin and Tylenol extra strength meds. That is it.
taking my Vitamin D and Eldeberry gummies, but I am doing fine.
I have a mild cough. Running stuffy nose, and it is just an aggravation, but I am staying sequestered for at least 5 days.
FLiRT - FLip Variants, is a family of Covid variants.
What are these “FLiRT variants”?
No Paxlovid this time. Don't think I need it.
This is the term being used to describe a whole family of different variants-including KP.2, JN.1.7, and any other variants starting with KP or JN-that appear to have independently picked up the same set of mutations. This is called convergent evolution. They are all descendants of the JN.1 variant that has been dominant in the U.S. for the past several months.
The particular mutations that people refer to as “FLiRT”s or “FLip”s refer to specific positions in the spike protein-in this case, positions 456, 346, and 572.
Viruses like SARS-CoV-2 mutate frequently, and when they mutate to evade recognition by antibodies, this often weakens their ability to bind to the cells they want to infect. We then see mutations appear that improve that binding ability. This is a cycle we have seen many times with SARS-CoV-2. The fact that these different variants are picking up the same mutations tells virologists that this combination of mutations is helping the virus accomplish these goals most efficiently.

We were there about the same time you were in the spring and found it was in desperate need of some updating and the sites were super close together. The perimeter road was paved higher than the other area so the lot of campsites held water in the rain. The water was beautiful. The sunsets were beautiful campground was just in dire need of upgrading and it was so crowded.

I’m 3 weeks into this Covid Variant. It’s nasty. Plaxovid was prescribed but I got a rebound. Prayed a lot as my lungs were so tight and did not want to end up in the hospital.
