I find it hilarious that it took 13 years to reach this conclusion, which has been well-known and documented for much longer than the duration of this research. I passed FE on the first try and took several practice exams. Taking an extended test is like training for a big athletic competition. It would be best if you built up your stamina. I'm afraid I have to disagree with breaking the practice test up, at least over the long term. Breaking it up initially is okay, but I'd recommend building up to simulate the constraints of the actual test. Take the practice exam around the same time you'll be taking it and build up to simulating the actual test duration.

The criteria for the motorized vehicle mode are different from the criteria used for the other modes. Specifically, the criteria for the motorized vehicle mode are based on performance measures that are field-measurable and perceivable by travelers. With one exception, the criteria for the pedestrian and bicyde modes are based on scores reported by travelers indicating their perception of service quality. The exception is the pedestrian space measure (used with the pedestrian mode), which is field measurable and perceivable by pedestrians. The criteria for the transit mode are based on measured changes in transit patronage due to changes in service quality.

$2k - $5k for a PE raise is a joke given how much the company gets to bill you out for. Tired of hearing the more responbility part. If the company gets to have a stronger position in bidding for projects, gets to charge more for you, and you truly are valued there, you should see a raise no matter what. If expecting a raise is delusional, why do companies pay so much more when you have your PE to leave and join them. 10% or $7500 minimal and that depends on location, your abilities, etc. $2k - $5k raise is a slap in the face in any state in 2024, even 6 years ago.

@@CivilEngAcademy It is the sad reality. Clients are unrealistic and the structural world are too weak to demand more while arch firms get to haul in 2-3 times as much money for less liability, qualifications and responsibility. Engineers today, young, are forced to hustle, learn 5+ engineering software's, Revit, CAD, etc, and are still underpaid. The bubble will eventually pop because right now firms are struggling to attract and retain good engineers. Companies will have to start to adapt and sacrifice old school development plans for new ones. One being, hold off on hiring and give raises across the board to establish a new competitive approach. Not to mention, benefits have killed salaries which truly are a joke. Most benefits I declined because I do not need. Also internships and co-ops are a joke to which rob you of truly learning your material and they then complain you barely know anything coming out of college while expecting you to have 2+ years of experience in internships. Can not have your cake and eat it too. Pure delusion.

@@DennisLaceyVlogs Heck yeah. It is sad here in the Civil world. Over 60% of Civil's do not negotiate and recruiters sell information which both drive down Civil, especially structural salaries. Engineers need to learn the market, and demand what they need in reason. Cost of living is insane now. I laughed at several companies down in Florida who low balled me, and they tried to use the beach as a selling point. I was like, is the beach going to pay for me bills, increase my 401k, pay my car note, etc. A lot of companies out there are delusional. Sadly, you have a lot of companies being led by older generations who have no context of the cost of living just to make in on your own, yet alone, damn near impossible to raise a family and save for retirement. These company leaders had a financial gold mine to raise a family on, buy toys, take trips, etc. Companies are still paying as if it is still 2010 and even further.
