What happens when you really take 1200 Triumph Scrambler off road onto a single track trail?
I've spent years saying "You can do single track on a scrambler, its just harder and you go slower!" but I decided to take the cameras along and show you whats it's actually like, and just as expected it was harder and slower than it would have been on a dual sport.

I made a special trip to go here to do this recreational loop, unfortunately I didn't read the fine print and realize that they apparently don't allow motorcycles. It doesn't make much sense. It just recommends 4x4's and at least 8 inches of clearance... so no big deal for a motorcycle. So what gives?

This is the only place I've ever seen this happen and every time I've been there and gone through this I have wondered if anywhere else in the world has a turn like this? It's a complete 360 degree unbroken turn that ends up going back under itself and continues on going the same direction it was going before the turn with the help of a small tunnel. Why does it do that? Who thought of this? .....

It's too late, I'm sorry bro. I feel your pain. Several of my favorite rides have been exposed in the last few years. I'm like 18 miles from Back of the dragon.
I believe your video truely show who the asshole really is…. If somebody passing you is that upsetting that you act this way….. Maybe it’s time to stop your videos or better yet, stop riding..
It's been found out, by the police too, happens as soon as they give it a name. We hoped the gravel would keep it safe but they just turn around. Live about 30 miles from it. Pretty much quit going. Another one bites the dust.
I mentioned I had rode it before years ago but didn't know what it was and forgot about it. I didn't even realize it had a name until I was googling about it after I saw the squiggly line on the map tho. I think the "named" road can be good and bad really. That dirt section at the end is a huge benefit to keep the riff raff away tho. I'm curious what that group of cruisers I passed did once they got there really. Either way, it is an awesome road but I don't think it will ever really blow up in popularity. It's so tight and so busy that a lot of casual riders will shy away from it I think.
I recognized the area right away, I cannot remember if I went on that 360 exit but it seems to jog my memory. The blue ridge is hard to beat. The only time I did not enjoy it was in a fog so thick you could only see a few feet ahead, the fog lifted after a while and it was another day of challenging riding in beautiful country. Watch out for the wildlife there are plenty of deer and turkeys. Ride safe, thanks for the memory.
Wow! The closest I've ever seen is on the Ortega Highway just outside of Lake Elsinore. Fun as hell on a bike. :)

OHH man.. they do this in the 40mph section right before tabcat creek (north end of the dragon for non locals) and every time, I catch em two to three turns in. fkn idiots. Not only that.. there's usually a THP sitting there. If you see a TN tag on a sporty car or bike and we're NOT speeding.. dont pass, there's a reason we're chillin.
Yup, I've had that happen as well. And you're right. There is almost always at least a county cop floating around that area.

Iron Mountain road South Dakota. They have 3 circles turns.
If you can put up with the tourist traffic in Cades Cove, you might like the Parson's Branch trail. One-way trip described as "Unimproved, primitive access. 4WD recommended with high clearance vehicles recommended. 8 miles that exits onto Hwy 129 between the 4 and 5 mile marker (if memory serves me correctly) The last half of the road has multiple water crossings over concrete flow-overs.
Yeah I did it once. It's pretty good. But il l never make the mistake of getting stuck in the nightmare that is Cades cove again. Haha. I nearly died before I finally got out of there. Lol
@@Moto_Tales and the quality of Parsons Branch road has decayed since it was reworked. I ride a Ural sidecar and parts of the road bed will rattle your teeth!
Do you come to west jefferson a lot? I see a Ural parked downtown with a sidecar from time to time and have always wondered who it was. This one is bright orange and awesome.

It's a beautiful area in George Washington and Jefferson Natl Forests. Look for Paint Bank General Store in VA.

US HWY 16A, Iron mountain road South Dakota. There's two of them. They may be bridges instead of tunnels, can't remember for sure. But they loop around.
I keep hearing there is one on needles highway. I know I rode that like a decade ago but I have no recollection of a turn like that. I guess I'll have to go back. For science! 🤣

I did some googling and apparently that is the ideal place to grab one. At the time I wasn't really sure so I decided to let her be when she went full psycho because I touched her. next time I'll do better. I see box turtles all the time. Those guys are super chill about everything.

I almost went out to buy a Honda CRF300L, but found a completely similar 1992 XT350 instead. These are absolutely fantastic bikes, which you can drive hours and hours just for fun. Remember to always check the oil level and do maintenance, these bikes really need it.

What phone case is that?
Hey it's just a generic case, a lot of companies put their name on it, but it's aluminum framed with a rubber edge and includes the front glass protection and bolts together. It's heavy and I have dropped the phone off a moving bike before with no damage. If you get one do use loctite on the screws because they will vibrate loose. I love these cases.
